The Cockburn Cougars scored two thrilling NBL1 West wins with victories also for the Perry Lakes Hawks, Warwick Senators, East Perth Eagles, Perth Redbacks, Goldfields Giants and Mandurah Magic.

Mikayla Pivec, Sarah Mortensen and Sierra Moore all had NBL1 West triple doubles but the Goldfields Giants superstar did suffer an ankle injury while the Cockburn Cougars escaped with two wins firstly with a 38/14 Darcee Garbin performance and then a walk off game winner from Cierra Walker.

FRIDAY
Cockburn Cougars (116) defeated Lakeside Lightning (111)
Esme Morales hit a stunning three-pointer to get the Lakeside Lightning to overtime with the Cockburn Cougars but the defending champions responded in the extra period for the eventual 116-111 victory.
The Cougars were back home at Wally Hagan Stadium having won their last couple again as they hosted a Lightning team clinging to a spot in the top eight.
It was a one-point advantage to Lakeside by quarter-time before Cockburn had 31 points to 25 in the second term to go into half-time with the 51-46 advantage.
Lakeside then worked on top in the third frame with 30 points to 19 on the way to leading by as much as 12 points on the back of going on a 12-0 run.
Cockburn responded with a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter to go up nine when Jewel Williams knocked down a three-pointer with just under three minutes to play.
It was still a six-point edge for the Cougars with a minute to play but then Lightning imports Delaynie Crawford and Morales hit massive three balls to get the game to overtime.
But in the extra period Cockburn were able to put up 16 points to 11 to score the five-point win to make it three straight wins and improve to an 11-2 record.
Darcee Garbin delivered a monster performance for Cockburn with 38 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and three steals with 15/24 shooting from the field and 6/10 from downtown.
Jewel Williams also had 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds, Cierra Walker 18 points, six boards and six assists, Jessie Edwards 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks, and Daniel Raber six points, 14 boards, nine assists, two steals and two blocked shots.
Lakeside did plenty right but are now 6-9 with the loss with Crawford finishing with 31 points, 12 rebounds and three assists on 5/11 three-point shooting.
Kiriana Hawaikirangi also had 24 points, three rebounds and two assists with 6/10 three-point shooting with Morales going 5/10 for 18 points and six assists.
Sam Lubcke also produced 13 points, six rebounds and two assists, Sarah Allen nine points, four boards and three assists, and Sam Roscoe six points, eight assists and five rebounds.
Perry Lakes Hawks (100) defeated Willetton Tigers (93)
Makenna Marisa hit a monster three to get the Perry Lakes Hawks to overtime and then led her team to the 100-93 win over the Willetton Tigers on the back of 41 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
It was a makeshift showcourt at Bendat Basketball Centre set up for the Hawks to host the Tigers with Perry Lakes trying to break into the top eight and Willetton just attempting to stop their losing slide.
The Tigers started well with an early 8-0 run but then the Hawks answered with nine straight points and by quarter-time it was the home team narrowly leading 22-21.
It remained a tight battle in the second period and by half-time Perry Lakes were clinging to the 45-43 advantage before 21 to 19 in the third term for the Hawks to see them leading 66-62.
Willetton then worked on top in the fourth period and ended up leading by three with 15 seconds to go after a pair of free throws from Emma Gandini.
Perry Lakes then had one last possession out of a timeout and Marisa stepped up to land the monster three-pointer to tie scores up and send the game into overtime.
The Hawks then rode that momentum with 13 points to six in the extra period to score the seven-point victory and improve to a 5-9 record to stay in the playoff hunt.
Marisa not only hit that massive three-pointer at the end of regulation on the way to 41 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists with 12/23 shooting from the floor, and 13/14 at the foul line.
Maddy Zugna also had 20 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks with Emilie Beggs contributing 15 points, five assists and three rebounds, and Jess Jakens eight points, eight boards and two steals.
Willetton have now lost seven straight to be 3-10 on the season with Emma Calvert producing 29 points, nine rebounds, four blocks and two assists with 12/24 field goal shooting along with 3/5 from three-point range.
Ruby Porter also had 26 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals, Remy Hearn 13 points, two boards and two assists, Carla Drennan nine points and eight rebounds, and Nija Collier three points and 12 boards.
Warwick Senators (89) defeated Kalamunda Eastern Suns (80)
Kyana Weir delivered two halves with 13 points and 3/3 three-point shooting each to keep the Warwick Senators winning in the absence of Jayda Clark as they overcame a plucky Eastern Suns 89-80.
The Senators were back home at Warwick Stadium having won their past three games and while the Eastern Suns had lost their past two, they have been playing impressively in recent times including beating the East Perth Eagles and were trying to stay in playoff contention.
Warwick then had a hot shooting start going 7/9 from three-point land in the first quarter and 9/11 for the first half but they could never shake the Suns and it was just a three-point game by three quarter-time.
The Senators were able to end up securing the nine-point victory to improve to an 11-4 record with four straight wins while the Eastern Suns are now 4-11 following three successive defeats.
Weir once again came up huge for Warwick ending up with 26 points, four assists and two rebounds on a perfect 6/6 three-point shooting.
Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard also landed 4/7 from downtown for 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals with Chloe Forster contributing 19 points, eight assists and five boards, and Greta Kampschroeder 11 points, five assists, four steals and two rebounds.
Trista Hull had eight points in the first quarter for the Eastern Suns and ended up with 19 for the game to go with 14 rebounds and three blocks with 7/12 shooting.
Alyssa Bowen also had 19 points, three rebounds and two assists on 3/5 three-point shooting with Gaby Bronson adding 15 points, six assists and five boards, Denae Civich 13 points, four rebounds and three assists, and Yume Knoll nine points, three assists and three steals.

SATURDAY
Willetton Tigers (76) lost to Cockburn Cougars (77)
The Cockburn Cougars escaped for the second time in the weekend and this time it was Cierra Walker stepping up for the game winning three-pointer as the defending champions stormed back from a 21-point deficit to beat the Willetton Tigers 77-76.
Both teams arrived at Willetton Basketball Stadium having played the previous night with Willetton losing in overtime to the Perry Lakes Hawks while the Cougars also needed extra time at home to beat the Lakeside Lightning.
That set up another battle between the south of the river rivals and the Tigers worked on top in the second frame with an 11-0 scoring run to open up a 21-point advantage to go into half-time on top 50-34.
The Tigers were back up by 19 points in the third quarter as well and were leading 67-50 by three quarter-time and the Cougars were staring down the barrel at a third loss in their past seven games.
Cockburn were always going to make a run and they were within two points ahead of having the last possession.
Coach Russell Haan drew up the play, Jewel Williams found Cierra Walker and she stepped up to knock down the walk off game winner with Cockburn escaping with the one-point win to improve to 12-2 to return to top spot.
Jessie Edwards had a monster performance inside for the Cougars with 33 points and 13 rebounds with 14/18 field goal shooting while only going 5/14 at the foul line.
Daniel Raber added 16 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals, Walker 13 points and three steals, Darcee Garbin seven points, five rebounds and three steals, and Williams four points, seven assists, three boards and three steals.
Willetton had a good weekend in terms of performances but came away winless to now be 3-11 with eight straight defeats with reigning Grand Final MVP Ruby Porter having 34 points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals against her former team.
Carla Drennan added 11 points, three assists and two rebounds, Nija Collier 10 points and seven boards, Emma Gandini eight points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Emma Calvert six points, nine boards and two blocked shots.
East Perth Eagles (89) defeated Rockingham Flames (80)
Sarah Mortensen had her first triple double with Stacey Barr and Brooke Malone scoring 24 points each as the East Perth Eagles overcame the return of Amy Atwell to beat the Rockingham Flames 89-80.
The two teams came into the Saturday night battle at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre sitting in top four positions and with the Flames trying to bounce back from a loss to the Cockburn Cougars with the Eagles having hammered the South West Slammers by 53 points.
They only met one another two weeks ago in Rockingham where the Flames did prevail by 12 points but that was on a weekend where the Eagles had lost in overtime the night before, and were without Barr, Jo Odude and McKenna Dale.
East Perth started on fire with 33 points in the first quarter with 11 of those courtesy of Barr and they were on top most of the evening but early in the fourth frame the Flames found themselves back in front.
The Eagles responded with the next nine points and that was enough to end up securing them the nine-point victory as they improve to an 11-4 record with the Flames now also 11-4 having lost their past two against fellow top four teams.
Mortensen recorded the first triple double in her 55-game NBL1 West career with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.
Stacey Barr had 11 points in the first quarter and nine in the third on the way to 24 for the game with nine rebounds and four assists while Brooke Malone delivered 24 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals on 7/9 field goal shooting and 9/13 at the foul line.
Jade Williams also had 10 points and five rebounds, Sydney Wright 11 points and two assists, Zaya Black six points and four boards, and Jo Odude three points and eight rebounds.
Rockingham welcomed back Amy Atwell for the first time since May 23 and she did end up with 26 points and four assists with 6/17 three-point shooting highlighted by her nine points on 3/4 from beyond the arc in the third quarter.
Sara Puckett also provided 20 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals, Teige Morrell 20 points, 16 rebounds and three assists, and Lesila Finau seven points, six boards, three assists and three steals.
Joondalup Wolves (88) lost to Perth Redbacks (90)
Alaska Rhebok continued her impressive return and Patty Brossmann was a dominant presence as the Perth Redbacks held out the fast finishing 90-88 win over the Joondalup Wolves.
The Wolfpack were back home at Arena Joondalup looking to win to stay in the playoff hunt while the Redbacks were on a three-game winning run and looking to keep that momentum going.
Joondalup opened up an eight-point lead before being on to 29-25 by quarter-time and then the Redbacks got rolling in the second period with 32 points to 14 to head into half-time with the 57-43 edge.
That lead then grew to 19 points in the third stanza for the Redbacks and they maintained the 14-point lead by three quarter-time but the Wolfpack then hit back.
Joondalup got all the way back level when Kim Pierre-Louis knocked down a three-pointer with three minutes to play before Rhebok and Pierre-Louis both traded respective and-one plays to keep scores tied up.
Rhebok and Patty Brossmann stepped up in the last minute with a pair of free throws each to give Perth a four-point lead again before Kuir Gayo hit a triple for Joondalup, but the Redbacks secured the win with a foul shot from Rhebok and Asianae Johnson missing an attempt to get the game to overtime.
The Redbacks made it four straight wins to improve to a 6-8 record with Brossmann finishing with 23 points, 18 rebounds and five assists while Rhebok put up 19 points and nine boards.
Sam Ashby also had 15 points, four rebounds and two assists, Shenae Hartree nine points, two boards, two assists and two steals, Olivia Berry nine points, and Sophie Doran seven points, six boards and five assists.
The Wolves are now 5-10 with the defeat at home with Pierre-Louis finishing with 29 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals with 12/18 field goal shooting and 4/5 from the free-throw line.
Rosie Deegan added 16 points, nine rebounds and two assists, Asianae Johnson 16 points, three boards and three assists, and Yemiyah Morris 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
South West Slammers (57) lost to Goldfields Giants (90)
Sierra Moore had a huge triple double and the Goldfields Giants started their road double with the 90-57 win against the South West Slammers.
The Giants arrived at Eaton Recreation Centre needing to keep winning to stay in the top four mix as they took on a Slammers team having lost four straight and without Marshaun Bostic.
Goldfields made a flying start with 27 points to eight in the first quarter before another 20 to 14 in the second stanza on the way to leading 47-22 by half-time.
The Giants retained control through the second half with 28 points to 24 in the third quarter, and 15 to 11 in the last on the way to the 33-point road victory.
The win improves Goldfields to an 8-5 record to stay in the top four race with Moore producing her first triple double of the season consisting of 21 points, 16 rebounds, 12 assists and four steals.
Rachel Pettit also provided 19 points with 5/13 three-point shooting, Delaynie Byrne 17 points, 13 rebounds, five steals and three blocks, and Chloe Zorzi 18 points, four assists, three steals and two rebounds.
The Slammers have now lost five in-a-row to be 3-11 with Hana Lacey-Rameka finishing with 24 points and 13 rebounds with Melanie Hoyt adding 16 points and seven boards, and Bri Bailey 10 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and two steals.

SUNDAY
Mandurah Magic (91) defeated Goldfields Giants (79)
The Goldfields Giants will now face a nervous wait after losing superstar forward Sierra Moore to injury while the Mandurah Magic got another triple double from Mikayla Pivec and welcomed back Mia Jacobs in the 91-79 win.
The two teams arrived at Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre trying to stay in the top four hunt with the Magic making their lone appearance of Round 13 while the Giants started their road double beating the South West Slammers on Saturday by 33 points.
That had both teams on identical 8-5 records coming into the match up and it was just a two-point lead for Mandurah early in the fourth quarter when Moore suffered an ankle injury when driving to the basket.
Her afternoon was over as a result and the Magic ended up leading by nine points by half-time on the back of that before going up by as much as 22 points in the second half on the way to the eventual 12-point win.
The result improves Mandurah to a 9-5 record to stay in top four contention with Goldfields now 8-6 having split their double header weekend on the road.
Having added in Mikayla Pivec and Jordan Reisma now, the Magic also welcomed back Mia Jacobs with that trio playing together for the first time and the signs were exciting for what the rest of the season holds in the win over the Giants.
Pivec produced her fourth triple double already in 10 games by ending up with 14 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists.
Claire Jacobs top scored with 22 points, four assists and three rebounds, Sharn Hayward 20 points and five assists with 6/12 three-point shooting, the returning Mia Jacobs 11 points, 10 boards and three steals, and Jade Gowland nine points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Sierra Moore only played the 11 minutes before injuring her ankle but still had 11 points and three rebounds while Hazelle Yam ended up top scoring with 19 points and six assists.
Delaynie Byrne finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals despite going 2/16 from the field with Lexi Pana contributing 11 points and seven rebounds with Jemma Gatti adding 10 points, five boards and two steals.
Rachel Pettit was also back on her old home floor and had 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the 243rd game of her career.
