Each week the NBL1 will put a spotlight on a women’s and men’s team from each conference for a major performance, a big win or a special occasion for the club.

See the men's Teams of the Week below:

NBL1 North: Mackay Meteors

The Meteors started the season hot with a 5-0 record before falling into a 0-4 streak.

However, in the last two games, Mackay looks to be back in title contention after beating the Darwin Salties at home (who they lost to in Darwin the previous round) and then this past weekend where they beat the Cairns Marlins by a staggering 31 points.

The team leans on their star MVP contender Isaac White. The league-leading scorer put up 33 points, 11 assists and six rebounds against Cairns and will be critical in Mackay’s hopes for a title run.

NBL1 East: Inner West Bulls

The Bulls had an impressive nine-game win streak snapped by the reigning champions, the Canberra Gunners, in Round 10.

While the champs showed the Bulls why they have the title, they bounced back significantly in Round 11 by beating the talented Illawarra Hawks at home by 18 points. William Hickey and Tim Coenraad weren’t enough to stop Chris Bryant’s 25 points, 17 rebounds and three assists to put the title-contending Bulls back on track.

NBL1 South: Ballarat Miners

In a rare single game road-trip, the Miners were in Casey to take on the Cavaliers and it went down to the wire in overtime.

Tyler Rudolph hit a massive three with two and a half minutes left to extend the lead to six points. Jack Davidson finished the game off with two free throws for the 94-91 win in Casey.

The pair both finished with over 30 points and the Miners took out the spectacular win.

It was an important W for the 10th-seeded Miners as they will attempt to get over the hump and into the NBL1 South Finals at the end of the season.

NBL1 West: Willetton Tigers

The Willetton Tigers got the win in OT against the Warwick Senators in one of the best games of the season.

In his 200th game, Warwick’s Cody Ellis hit a clutch three to send it to overtime, where Willetton’s Darnell Hoskins Jr. took off. He scored seven points in overtime, upping his total to 27 to get the Tigers their ninth win of the season and to set into second place.

NBL1 Central: South Adelaide Panthers

While Daniel Johnson is on 3x3 National Team duties, the freshly signed Alex Starling had to step up in his absence. With 22 points, 10 rebounds and four steals, the Adelaide 36er made a good impression on his new fans.

But the story of the game was Lloyd McVeigh, the young gun scored 29 points with seven rebounds and five assists to give the Panthers their eighth win over James Legan’s Eastern Mavericks.
