The WNBA preseason is over and our NBL1 stars have been on the court and showing off!

Check out how they have been going below:

Seattle Storm:

Jade Melbourne (2023 Melbourne Tigers)

The 2022 NBL1 Youth Player of the Year was drafted by the Seattle Storm and finally made her debut with the team last weekend.

In 19 and a half minutes, she scored six points with four rebounds and three assists fresh off a triple-double and an ANZAC Medal in the NBL1 South.

Sami Whitcomb (2023 Willetton Tigers)

The WNBA veteran only played 12 and a half minutes in the game, but Whitcomb is already well-established in the W. Coming off multiple 30-pieces in the NBL1 West, she is locked and loaded for the WNBA season ahead with the Storm.

Las Vegas Aces:

Cayla George (2022 Cairns Dolphins)

The 2022 NBL1 North All-Star Five member finally made her return to the WNBA after taking the Melbourne Boomers to the WNBL title this past season.

Against Opals coach Sandy Brondello, George played 13 minutes and pulled down a rebound with two assists in the win over the New York Liberty.

George will remain on the roster as one of the set 12 players for the 2023 WNBA season.

Chicago Sky:

Anneli Maley (2023 Eltham Wildcats) & Alanna Smith (2022 Townsville Flames)

The Aussie duo are taking over Chicago with the Sky, Maley and Smith are both on the court and grabbing boards for the windy city team.

Starting with the hometown hero of Eltham, Maley played in two of three games for the Sky and had a total of 17 minutes with five rebounds, four points and three assists against the Indiana Fever and the Minnesota Lynx.

Smith played in all three games as the 2022 NBL1 North MVP continues to reintegrate herself into the WNBA after an offseason in Europe.
