There were NBL1 North wins for the Townsville Flames, Logan Thunder, Sunshine Coast Phoenix, Southern Districts Spartans, Cairns Dolphins, North Gold Coast Seahawks and Northside Wizards.

Courtney Woods led Townsville Flames to handing Cairns Dolphins first loss of NBL1 North season with Erin Bollmann having a near quadruple double for Sunshine Coast Phoenix while Abby Solway had 29 for Southern Districts Spartans, Georgia Woolley 28 for North Gold Coast Seahawks, and Nes'eya Parker-Williams 30 for Northside Wizards.

FRIDAY
Townsville Flames (91) defeated Cairns Dolphins (69)
Courtney Woods nearly had another triple double with 28 points and Chailee Ward landed six three-pointers as the Townsville Flames handed the Cairns Dolphins a first loss with the 91-69 home victory.
The Flames played host to the Dolphins at Carmichael Ford Stadium trying to bounce back from a loss to the North Gold Coast Seahawks while Cairns arrived having won their opening nine matches of the 2026 season.
The Dolphins had already beaten the Flames by 32 points at home to open the season too but this was a different Townsville outfit with Woods having 13 points in the opening quarter for them to open up a six-point lead by quarter-time.
That grew to 19 by half-time and then Townsville delivered 23 points to 16 in the final term on the way to the 22-point win to improve to a 7-4 record and consolidate a playoff spot while Cairns are now 9-1 following a first loss of 2026.
Woods set the tone with 24 points in the first half and ended the night with 28 to go with nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals with 10/17 shooting from the field, 4/9 from downtown and 4/5 at the foul line.
Ward added 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists, five steals and two blocks with 6/11 three-point shooting with Ella Tofaeono contributing 15 points, five boards, three assists and two steals, and Mia Murray eight points with another couple of three-point makes.
Mia Loyd did finish with another 18 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and two assists for the Dolphins with Leichan Williams contributing 13 points, three boards and two blocks, Summah Evans 11 points, three rebounds and two assists, and Taryn Bond nine points and four assists.

SATURDAY
Logan Thunder (99) defeated South West Metro Pirates (77)
Logan Thunder are now the hottest team in the league after the loss for the Cairns Dolphins on Friday as they made seven on the trot with the 99-77 victory over the South West Metro Pirates.
Logan were back home at Bendigo Bank Cornubia Park Sports Centre to play host to South West Metro and it was a good start from the Thunder with 24 points to 18 in the first quarter.
Logan further dominated in the second frame with another 32 points to 13 to go into half-time on top 56-31 before South West Metro did hit back in the third quarter with 33 to 19 but still the Thunder were leading 75-64 by three quarter-time.
The Thunder were able to complete the deal on another dominant win with the 24 points to 13 in the last term to win by 22 to improve to a 9-1 record with the seven straight victories.
Amandine Toi delivered 22 points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists on 9/12 shooting with Leah Scott adding another 19 points, seven boards, two assists and two steals.
Mikhaela Cann also had 17 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals, Chevannah Paalvast 13 points on 6/6 shooting, Maddy Allen 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks, and Prasayus Notoa eight points, five boards and four assists.
South West Metro are now 3-8 following back-to-back losses with Charlotte Whittaker putting up 29 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals on 11/17 field goal shooting.
Steph Bairstow also had 13 points, six rebounds and three assists, Hannah Simental 11 points and three boards, and Jenna Kilty 11 points with 3/4 three-point shooting.
Sunshine Coast Phoenix (96) defeated Brisbane Capitals (90)
It was quite the entertaining affair and in the end the Sunshine Coast Phoenix had the answers with the 96-90 home victory against the Brisbane Capitals with Isabel Palmer and Erin Bollmann combining for 48 points.
Sunshine Coast were back home at Maroochydore Stadium coming off a win and trying to break into the top six with the Capitals battling to stay in touch having lost their past couple.
The Phoenix made an encouraging start with 24 points to 20 in the first quarter before blowing the game open in the second term with 23 to 17 on the way to leading by as much as 14.
That lead blew out to 17 points in the third period and even with an 11-0 run from Brisbane and the Capitals putting up 31 points in the last term, Sunshine Coast held firm for the eventual six-point victory at home.
The Phoenix improve to 6-5 on the season with back-to-back wins with Erin Bollmann outstanding once more with 24 points, eight rebounds, eight steals and six assists.
Isabel Palmer also had 24 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and two steals, Maya Price 16 points, nine boards and two assists, Kayla Mathews nine points, two rebounds and two steals, Emma Povh nine points and three boards, and Amy Browne eight points, four rebounds and two assists.
The Caps are now 3-9 having lost three in-a-row with Alyssa Brown putting in a monster performance with 35 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks with 7/15 three-point shooting.
Rachel Mate also had 16 points, six rebounds and four assists, Tyla Stolberg 11 points and six rebounds, and Rihanna Byrne 10 points.
Southern Districts Spartans (105) defeated Ipswich Force (65)
The Southern Districts stayed in touch for a top three position with the dominant 105-65 home win over the Ipswich Force with Abby Solway and Hayley McDowell-White combining for 55 points.
The Spartans were back home at Rowland Cowan Stadium trying to bounce back from a loss to Logan Thunder while Ipswich arrived having lost five in-a-row.
Southern Districts had opened up a 10-point lead by quarter-time and that blew out to 14 in the second term before the Spartans went into half-time leading 46-33.
It was then another 33 points to 17 in the third quarter and 26 to 15 in the fourth on the way to the 40-point emphatic win as they improve to a 9-4 record.
Abby Solway delivered 29 points, five rebounds and two assists for the Phoenix with 4/7 three-point shooting while Hayley McDowell-White landed 26 points and four boards with 10/11 free-throw shooting.
Mikayla Cowling also had 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, Paige Bayliss 11 points and four boards, and Jess McDowell-White nine points, 11 assists, three steals and two rebounds.
Ipswich slip further out of the playoff race with their chances likely gone now with six straight wins at 2-9 with Georgia Ralph producing 18 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Valerie Huerta added 15 points and three steals, Stacie Jones 15 points and seven rebounds, and Charlotte Hegvold 10 points.
Mackay Meteorettes (81) lost to Cairns Dolphins (90)
The Cairns Dolphins faced a real prospect of a double loss weekend after starting 9-0 but they raced out to a 24-6 opening to set the tone for the eventual 90-81 victory against the Mackay Meteorettes.
The Dolphins won their first nine games of the season by an average of 19.6 points but that streak came to an end in Townsville on Friday night with the loss to the Flames.
They then faced a big challenge again less than 24 hours later taking on the third placed Meteorettes at Mackay Basketball Stadium.
But stung from tasting a first defeat of the season the night before, Cairns shot out of the blocks with that 24-6 start and ended up building a 26-point first half lead.
However, Mackay fired back and drew level early in the fourth quarter only for Cairns to respond and end up securing the nine-point win to avoid a double loss weekend.
Cairns now finish their double on the road this weekend with a 10-1 record for the season with Mackay now slipping to 8-3 with the home defeat.
Cairns got the bounce back response they were looking for following Friday night's loss in Townsville with Mia Loyd just missing a triple double and ending up with 19 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
Teyla Evans also had 19 points, three rebounds and three assists, Taryn Bond 19 points, six boards, five assists and two steals, Summah Evans 18 points and five steals with 3/5 three-point shooting, and Leichan Williams nine points, six rebounds and two assists.
Mackay couldn’t quite secure a third straight win to now be 8-3 on the season with Monique Bobongie delivering 26 points, four rebounds and four assists with 4/11 shooting from behind the three-point arc.
Cheyenne Bobongie also had 12 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, Nikita Muscat 10 points and three rebounds, and Charli Kenny eight points, four boards and three assists.

SUNDAY
North Gold Coast Seahawks (92) defeated South West Metro Pirates (72)
Katie Deeble had another 13 points in the first 10 minutes and then Georgia Woolley finished with 28 as the North Gold Coast Seahawks continued to build impressive form beating the South West Metro Pirates 92-72 on Sunday.
The Seahawks were back home at Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium having won four of the past six matches ahead of hosting a Pirates team having lost to Logan Thunder the previous night by 22 points on the back of last week's 24-point defeat to the Sunshine Coast Phoenix.
North Gold Coast were playing their lone game of the weekend and got out to an early nine-point lead and never looked back with that advantage growing to 16 points in the second quarter and 31 in the third.
Eventually the Seahawks secured the 20-point victory to improve to a 5-6 record having won five of the past seven matches to be right in the playoff hunt while the Pirates are now 3-9 after two losses this weekend.
It was another impressive performance from the Seahawks as they continue to build under new coach Brayden Heslehurst with Georgia Woolley starring with 28 points, 12 rebounds and three steals on 10/18 field goal shooting and going 7/8 at the free-throw line.
Katie Deeble again started on fire with 13 points in the first quarter on her way to 20 points, eight assists and four rebounds with 16-year-old rising star Charlize Brown contributing 10 points, 11 boards and three assists, and Antoniette Emma-Nnopu eight points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
Hannah Simental finished with 17 points and five assists with 5/7 three-point shooting for South West Metro with Charlotte Whittaker having nine points in the first quarter and 17 for the game to go with 11 rebounds and four assists.
Steph Bairstow also had nine points, two rebounds and two steals, and Bronte Corke seven points three boards.
Northside Wizards (113) defeated Gold Coast Rollers (84)
Nes'eya Parker-Williams had a huge performance with 30 points and 10 rebounds on the way to the statement 113-84 win at home to the Gold Coast Rollers.
The Wizards were back home at Northside Indoor Sports Centre having won their past three matches up against a Rollers team struggling having lost seven straight.
Northside started on fire opening up a 12-point lead in the first quarter on the way to leading 31-21 by quarter-time and then remaining on top 55-47 by half-time.
It was then another 27 points to 20 in the third period for the Wizards and 31 to 17 in the last on the way to the eventual 29-point victory to see them improve to a 7-4 record with four straight wins.
Parker-Williams was the star of the win for Northside with 30 points, 10 rebound and three assists with 6/12 three-point shooting.
Grace Ellis also had 23 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Nadeen Payne 15 points, five boards and three assists, Kelsey Ransom 13 points, 12 assists, three rebounds and two steals, Courtney Virgo 12 points and three rebounds with 4/7 three-point shooting, and Alice O'Driscoll eight points, six boards and five assists.
Gold Coast have now lost eight in-a-row to be 2-9 with Juna Umezawa top scoring with 27 points, eight rebounds and two blocks with 11/18 field goal shooting including 2/2 from downtown and 3/3 at the charity stripe.
Tara Manumaleuga also had 13 points, eight rebounds and two assists, Jayla Cassidy 12 points and four assists, Emma Petrie 11 points, three boards and two assists, and Ariana Moorer nine points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals.
