NBL1 East: Penrith Panthers

Introduced at the start of the NBL1 East season, the Penrith Panthers have finally gotten their first win of the season.

In a 19-point win over the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, Caleb Fetui-FaAmoe scored a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds to secure the club’s first win in the NBL1.

NBL1 North: Mackay Meteors

The Meteors pulled off three- straight wins in Round 4, starting with an impressive six-point win over the Brisbane Capitals Friday night, followed up with a statement win over the Northside Wizards and the Southern Districts Spartans to put them in a 5-0 to start the NBL1 North season.

Isaac White had an incredible three games for Mackay, winning the Foot Locker NBL1 North Player of the Week by averaging 34 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5 assists.

NBL1 South: Frankston Blues

The NBL1 National Finals runners-ups have retooled and kicked off the season strong, finishing off Round 3 with a 5-1 start.

Recruiting NBL veteran Brad Newley and retaining most of the team’s core, the Blues alongside NBL1 star Lachlan Barker are set up for the rest of the season as championship favourites going forward.

NBL1 West: Perth Redbacks

After a tough season in 2022, the Redbacks have come out roaring into the 2023 season.

The Redbacks beat the title-hopeful Joondalup Wolves by 19 points on Saturday to announce that 2023 is a new and improved season.

After Round 4 the Redbacks sit at 3-2, well within the top of the West just a quarter of the through the season.

NBL1 Central: Forestville Eagles

Despite losing Daniel Johnson in the offseason, the Forestville Eagles are still one of the best-performing teams in the NBL1 Central.

A 2-0 weekend saw Adam Doyle, Greg Mays and Malith Machar dominate from Saturday to ANZAC Day. Sitting pretty at 5-1 at the end of Round 5 and they'll definitely be a mainstay for the rest of the season.
