NBL1 North: Rockhampton Cyclones 

The Rockhampton Cyclones have done the impossible, handing the Northside Wizards their first loss of the season on Friday night.

In the 83-82 win on the road, Lauren Heard dominated with 32 points, seven rebounds and four assists to push them to sixth on the ladder in the NBL1 North. 

NBL1 East: Maitland Mustangs 

The Maitland Mustangs were the heroes of the NBL1 East this weekend, closing out an overtime win on the road with a buzzer-beating, game-winning put-back from import Sydney Hunter. 


She finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds in the game as the Mustangs had four players score in double-digits or more, while the Comets’ Shyla Heal had an astonishing 36 points. 


NBL1 South: Bendigo Braves 

Locking in their finals spot this weekend, the Bendigo Braves are now 15-0 and were dominant again this weekend. 

The Eltham Wildcats’ defence was no match for the high-powered Braves, they held the Wildcats to only 32.3 percent from the field while Bendigo went on to score 85 points.

Kelly Wilson had 16 points with 12 assists while Megan McKay dropped 25 points with 11 rebounds. 

 

NBL1 West: Willetton Tigers 

The Willetton Tigers had a statement in Round 12, going 2-0 against the Rockingham Flames and the South West Slammers.

On Friday, Desiree Kelley had a near triple-double with 30 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, while MVP contender Alex Sharp had 18 points, 19 rebounds, six assists and four steals against the Finals contending Flames. 

While on Sunday, they handed the Slammers a 56-point deficit to push the Tigers comfortably into second place. 

 

NBL1 Central: Forestville Eagles 

The NBL1 Central ladder has four teams sitting with the same win-loss record at 7-6, between seventh and fourth and Bearcats, Rockets, Eagles and Panthers are only spilt by percentage.

On Saturday, the Eagles handed the Panthers the 14-point loss in a grind-out game, both teams shot under 37 percent from the field with no player scoring more than 16 points.

The Eagles had a statement win as the middle of the Central ladder is truly anyone's to climb up.
