There were NBL1 West wins for the Rockingham Flames, Lakeside Lightning, Mandurah Magic, East Perth Eagles, Cockburn Cougars, Joondalup Wolves and Lakeside Lightning.

Darcee Garbin, Sarah Mortensen, Esme Morales, Amy Atwell, Kim Pierre-Louis and Claire Jacobs all produced match winning NBL1 West showings for the Cockburn Cougars, East Perth Eagles, Lakeside Lightning, Rockingham Flames, Joondalup Wolves and Mandurah Magic.

FRIDAY
Rockingham Flames (122) defeated South West Slammers (68)
The Rockingham Flames were in unfamiliar territory needing to bounce back from two losses and did so emphatically with the 122-68 home win over the South West Slammers.
The Flames had been sitting on top of the table before losses over the past two weeks to the Cockburn Cougars and East Perth Eagles ahead of hosting a Slammers team at Mike Barnett Sports Complex on a five-game losing slide.
Rockingham had already opened up a 12-point lead by quarter-time before another 25 points to 13 in the second term to be leading 53-29 by half-time.
The Flames then had a monster third quarter with 39 points and then another 30 in the fourth to outscore the Slammers 69-39 in the second half on the way to the 54-point win.
The victory improves Rockingham to a 12-4 record to keep them in second place with Amy Atwell landing 7/11 from three-point territory for 25 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Sara Puckett also hit 5/8 from downtown for 25 points and four rebounds with Teige Morrell adding 24 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and three steals, and Stef Berberabe nine points and six assists.
Paris Duffield also produced a season-best performance with 19 points on 4/7 shooting from beyond the arc in the 199th game of her career.
The Slammers remain in last place at 3-12 with Hana Lacey-Rameka finishing with 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, Bri Bailey 15 points, four boards and three assists, Melanie Hoyt 14 points, six rebounds and three assists, and Charlotte Mills 10 points and three assists.
Lakeside Lightning (89) defeated Willetton Tigers (68)
Esme Morales scored another 25 points and Sam Roscoe delivered 16 points, 15 rebounds and five assists as the Lakeside Lightning consolidated their playoff spot with the 89-68 home win over the Willetton Tigers.
The Lightning were back home at Lakeside Recreation Centre on Friday night fresh off a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Cockburn Cougars seven days earlier, while the Tigers knew how they felt.
They also fell to the Cougars six days earlier thanks to a walk off three on the buzzer and 24 hours prior to that lost in overtime for the Perry Lakes Hawks so even though they had lost eight straight, they had been significantly more competitive than that suggests.
But Lakeside took over the contest in the second quarter to be leading 44-32 by half-time with 26 points combined to Morales and Roscoe before the Lightning went on with the job for the eventual 21-point victory.
The win improves the Lightning to a 7-9 record on the season to be in seventh position while the Tigers are now 3-12 having lost nine in-a-row.
Morales once again starred in the win for Lakeside with 25 points, five steals and four rebounds with Roscoe coming up huge with 16 points, 15 boards, five assists and two blocked shots.
Delanie Crawford also had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists, Sarah Allen 15 points and three boards on 3/6 three-point shooting, and Sam Lubcke 14 points, 11 rebounds and two steals.
Willetton fought hard but couldn’t stop the eventual ninth straight defeat with Ruby Porter delivering 26 points, four steals and two assists with 5/12 three-point shooting.
Nija Collier added 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Emma Gandini seven points, 10 boards and two assists, and Remy Hearn seven points, three assists and two rebounds.

SATURDAY
Mandurah Magic (83) defeated Warwick Senators (68)
Claire Jacobs scored 25 points and Mikayla Pivec almost had another triple double with the Mandurah Magic taking control in the fourth quarter to keep their top four hopes alive beating the Warwick Senators 83-68.
With the Senators arriving at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre in third position and the Magic fifth, it was a big game in terms of the battle for top four positions.
Then for three quarters it was a tight contest with the Senators leading by four points at quarter-time thanks to Kyana Weir's 10 points before Warwick were still on top by four at three quarter-time.
Mandurah started to work on top to be leading by two at three quarter-time before then taking over with 21 points to eight in the last term to take control and secure the 15-point victory.
The win significantly heats up the top four battle with the Magic improving to a 10-5 record with the Senators now slipping to 11-5.
It was a fifth straight win in the finish for the Magic with Mikayla Pivec only narrowly missing another triple double ending up with 16 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists with Mandurah +18 with her out there.
Claire Jacobs then top scored with 25 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals with 3/6 shooting from behind the arc and 6/6 at the free-throw line.
Jordana Reisma also had 14 points, nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks, Jade Gowland eight points and three rebounds, and Sharn Hayward six points and four assists.
Warwick did run out of gas in the fourth quarter and the absence of Jayda Clark, Nat Burton and Izzy Miotti didn’t help their cause with Kyana Weir top scoring with 17 points, five assists and three rebounds.
Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard added 17 points, six rebounds and four blocks, Chloe Forster 15 points, eight boards, four assists and three steals, and Greta Kampschroeder 13 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
Joondalup Wolves (80) defeated Perry Lakes Hawks (76)
With both teams trying to break into a playoff position there was plenty on the line and it was the Joondalup Wolves who held on for the crucial 80-76 win over the Perry Lakes Hawks.
Coming into the game at Arena Joondalup and the Hawks were 5-9 and the Wolves 5-10 to be just behind the Perth Redbacks who were in eighth position at 6-8.
That set the stage for the crucial match up and it was the Wolfpack leading 27-24 by the end of the first quarter before another 20 to 16 in the second to go into half-time leading 47-40.
Joondalup were still leading by eight at three quarter-time and were back up 10 early in the fourth but Perry Lakes fired back with a 7-0 run and did get back as close to two when Makenna Marisa scored again.
But by the time Rosie Deegan and Kuir Gayo hit triples the Wolves were back up 10 with 3:30 to play and they held on for the four-point win from there to improve to 6-10.
Kim Pierre-Louis was outstanding in the win for Joondalup with 27 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks while Deegan hit 3/6 from downtown for 19 points and six rebounds.
Asianae Johnson also had 11 points, four rebounds and two steals, Awatea Leach nine points, and Yemiyah Morris seven points, 16 boards, four blocks and three assists.
The Hawks are now 5-10 with the defeat with Makenna Marisa outstanding once more with 32 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds on 12/24 shooting from the floor and 7/8 at the stripe.
Ellie Newman added 17 points, four rebounds and two assists, Mila Wawszkowicz 11 points, five boards and three assists, and Emilie Beggs six points, four rebounds and two assists.
Cockburn Cougars (92) defeated Kalamunda Eastern Suns (80)
The defending champion Cockburn Cougars were once again given a big test and came from behind with a 33-point fourth quarter to end up beating the Kalamunda Eastern Suns 92-80.
The Cougars were back home at Wally Hagan Stadium in top spot having won four straight again after a first couple of losses since the 2024 Grand Final as they hosted a Suns team having lost the past three but having been significantly more competition.
Cockburn were leading 26-23 by quarter-time but Kalamunda produced a superb second frame with 20 points to 12 to go into the half-time break leading 43-38.
That lead was then was much as 10 for the visitors early in the fourth quarter and an almighty upset was on the cards, but Cockburn dug deep to go on an 18-0 scoring run to turn that into a 12-point lead, and eventual 12-point victory.
The win keeps the Cougars in top spot at 13-2 with Darcee Garbin brilliant once more with 25 points, eight rebounds, eight steals, five assists and two blocks.
Jessie Edwards continued the best season of her 239-game career with 22 points and four rebounds with Jewel adding 14 points, five assists and four boards in her 189th game and 100th with the Cougars.
Daniel Raber 11 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals, Ayla Pizzuto nine points and three assists, and Cierra Walker eight points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
The Eastern Suns are now 4-12 and having lost four straight despite so much to like in the performance with Alyssa Bowen ending up with 20 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Denae Civich also had 14 points and four rebounds, Trista Hull 12 points, 18 boards, four assists and four steals, Kayla Kiriau 12 points, five rebounds and three assists, and Gaby Bronson 12 points, six boards and three assists.
Goldfields Giants (80) lost to East Perth Eagles (100)
The East Perth Eagles continued to build their impressive momentum heading to Kalgoorlie and coming away with the 100-80 victory with the Goldfields Giants struggling in the absence of Sierra Moore.
The Giants arrived back home at Evolution Mining Stadium having split their road double last weekend but after Moore produced a huge triple double in the win over the South West Slammers, she went down with an ankle injury on Sunday.
She wasn’t able to get up to play at home on Saturday night with the Eagles arriving having won their past couple to be solid in the top four and then opening up a three-point lead by quarter-time.
East Perth then took over further in the second quarter with 31 points to 18 to be leading 55-39 by half-time and then going on to lead by as much as 24 on the way to the 20-point victory to improve to a 12-4 record to improve to third position.
Sarah Mortensen was outstanding once more for the Eagles with 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals with Jade Williams adding 19 points, 11 boards, three assists and two steals, and Stacey Barr 19 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds to just miss a triple double.
Sydney Wright also had 18 points, six assists and four rebounds, and Brooke Malone 13 points and 11 boards.
The Giants are now 8-7 having lost four of the past five games with Delaynie Byrne doing all she could with 27 points, 15 rebounds and two assists including 4/7 three-point shooting.
Rachel Pettit also had 15 points and seven assists in the 243rd game of her career with Hazelle Yam contributing 16 points and seven assists, and Chloe Zorzi 14 points, four rebounds and three steals.
