The Cairns Dolphins had two more NBL1 North wins to stay unbeaten in 2026 while Leah Scott ensured the Logan Thunder won a sixth straight and Erin Bollmann fired for the Sunshine Coast Phoenix.

Mia Loyd had a triple double as part of two big NBL1 North performances for Cairns Dolphins as did Taryn Bond while Erin Bollmann also had a triple double for Sunshine Coast Phoenix with River Baldwin delivering 32 points and 13 rebounds for Mackay Meteorettes.

FRIDAY
Gold Coast Rollers (68) lost to Southern Districts Spartans (90)
The Southern Districts started and finished on fire on the way to the 90-68 road win to start their weekend against the Gold Coast Rollers.
The Rollers were back home at Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium trying to snap a six-game losing run against a Spartans team also arriving having lost their previous two.
After Gold Coast started well to be leading by five early on, Southern Districts got going with 13 straight points on the way to the 18-11 quarter-time advantage.
That lead blew out to 16 points in the second term and then after Gold Coast did have 24 points to 16 in the third frame, the Spartans then took over once more with 33 to 17 in the last quarter on the way to the 22-point victory.
The win improves Southern Districts to an 8-3 record on the back of reaching last year's Grand Final series with Mikayla Cowling delivering 21 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Jess McDowell-White also had 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, Abby Solway 18 points and three assists, Hayley McDowell-White 12 points and three assists, and Emily Preston nine points, nine rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Gold Coast have now lost seven straight to be 2-8 with Juna Umezawa finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds and there assists on 6/9 shooting from the field and 6/7 from the foul line.
Emma Petrie also had 12 points and seven rebounds, Ariana Moorer 11 points, five assists and four boards, Tara Manumaleuga eight points, five rebounds and four assists, and Nyah Morris eight points and three boards.
Mackay Meteorettes (108) defeated North Gold Coast Seahawks (80)
The Mackay Meteorettes came back from a 16-point deficit to dominate the second half outscoring the North Gold Coast Seahawks 63 points to 34 for the 108-81 home win with River Baldwin delivering 32 points and 13 rebounds.
The Meteorettes were back home at Mackay Basketball Stadium trying to stay in touch with the top two teams ahead of taking on the undefeated Cairns Dolphins next week while the Seahawks arrived fresh off a win over the Ipswich Force.
North Gold Coast then made an impressive start to be leading by 16 points in the second quarter after Katie Deeble had scored 15 herself in the opening term.
Mackay had begun to turn the tide before half-time to be down by just two ahead of taking charge with 63 points to 34 in the second half on the back of shooting 21/33 from the field and 16/17 at the foul line while limiting the Seahawks to shooting 8/28 from the floor and 15/26 at the free-throw line.
The win improves Mackay to an 8-2 record on the season with River Baldwin an imposing presence on her way to 32 points, 13 rebounds and two assists on 9/13 field goal shooting along with going 14/16 at the charity stripe.
Monique Bobongie also had 19 points, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks, Sammie Puisis 17 points, five boards and three assists, Alley Simpson 13 points, five rebounds and three assists, and Cheyenne Bobongie 11 points, nine assists and four boards.
North Gold Coast start their road double in Far North Queensland by slipping to 3-6 on the season with Georgia Woolley finishing with 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists with 14/15 foul shooting.
Katie Deeble also had 23 points with 6/9 shooting from beyond the arc while Charli Reece contributed eight points and six rebounds, Maddison Baxter seven points, five assists and three boards, and Antoniette Emma-Nnopu six points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Rockhampton Cyclones (90) lost to Cairns Dolphins (103)
Taryn Bond scored 29 points and Mia Loyd had a huge triple double as the Cairns Dolphins overcame a combined 55 points from Emily Kiser and Shanique Lucas from the Rockhampton Cyclones to win 103-90.
Cairns arrived at Bravus Arena putting their unbeaten record so far this season on the line against a Rockhampton team returning home after their road triple last weekend that ended on Sunday with a win against the Ipswich Force.
The Cyclones were leading 24-22 by quarter-time before Cairns had 22 points to 15 in the second term to head into the half-time break on top 44-39.
It was then a monstrous offensive third quarter from both teams as they combined for 69 points with Cairns scoring 38 of those and Rockhampton 31 with the Dolphins going into three quarter-time leading 82-70.
Cairns then went on to winning by 13 points in the finish to improve to a perfect 8-8 record with Taryn Bond delivering 29 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals on 11/16 field goal shooting with 7/9 at the foul line.
Mia Loyd then produced another triple double with 17 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists and three steals with Summah Evans contributing 16 points and five rebounds, Leichan Williams 19 points and seven boards, and Teyla Evans 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Rockhampton are now 2-9 following the home defeat with Emily Kiser producing 29 points, 13 rebounds and four assists on 10/15 field goal shooting and 8/8 at the free-throw line.
Shanique Lucas also had 26 points, four assists and three rebounds on 6/13 three-point shooting with Tai Wakelin-Gray contributing nine points, five boards, four assists and four steals, and Gracie Stugart nine points, six rebounds, six steals and three assists.

SATURDAY
Brisbane Capitals (82) lost to Cairns Dolphins (90)
Mia Loyd and Taryn Bond carried on their momentum from the previous night to once again star as the Cairns Dolphins remained unbeaten this season defeating the Brisbane Capitals 90-82.
The Dolphins started their road double weekend beating the Rockhampton Cyclones on Friday ahead of taking on the Capitals on Saturday at Auchenflower Stadium.
The Caps came into the game trying to stay in the finals hunt and they started well on their home court leading 29-25 by the end of the first quarter.
Brisbane were still leading 47-43 by half-time but then the Dolphins took over in the second half with 24 points to 19 in the third period, and 23 to 16 in the fourth on the way to the eight-point victory.
The win improves Cairns to the perfect 9-0 record with Mia Loyd having another standout all-round performance with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Taryn Bond also had another 20 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals, Summah Evans 16 points, six boards, two assists and two steals, Leichan Williams 10 points and five rebounds, and Teyla Evans nine points, five boards and four assists.
The Capitals are now 3-8 following the loss with Ella White delivering 17 points and three assists with 5/9 three-point shooting.
Alyssa Brown also had 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Ashley Harris 16 points, eight boards, three blocks and two assists, Rihanna Byrne 14 points, four rebounds and three assists, and Tyla Stolberg 12 points, eight boards and four assists.
South West Metro Pirates (66) lost to Sunshine Coast Phoenix (90)
Erin Bollmann starred again with a triple double for the Sunshine Coast Phoenix in the 90-66 road win against the South West Metro Pirates.
The Pirates were back home at Hibiscus Sports Stadium coming off winning their past two games with the Phoenix arriving coming off a loss to the Northside Wizards with both trying to stay in the finals mix.
Sunshine Coast took over the contest in the second quarter by going on an 11-0 run and outscored South West Metro 29 points to 15 on the way to leading 48-31 by half-time.
The Phoenix then saw their lead blow out to 24 points during the third quarter and 27 in the fourth on the way to the eventual 24-point victory to improve to a 5-5 record.
Erin Bollmann was outstanding for Sunshine Coast with a triple double consisting of 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to go with six steals.
Isabel Palmer also had 24 points, six rebounds and four assists with Maya Price contributing 11 points, six boards, two assists and two blocks, and Amy Browne 11 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
South West Metro are now 3-7 following the defeat with Charlotte Whittaker finishing with 23 points, 14 rebounds and four assists with Steph Bairstow adding 14 points, seven boards, three assists and three steals on 4/8 shooting from downtown.
Hannah Simental also had eight points, five rebounds and four assists, and Jovana Ilic eight points and four boards.
Townsville Flames (75) lost to North Gold Coast Seahawks (83)
Despite another big game from reigning WNBL Grand Final MVP Courtney Woods, it wasn’t enough for the Townsville Flames with the North Gold Coast Seahawks wrapping up their road double with the 83-75 victory.
The Seahawks started their double in Far North Queensland with a loss to the Mackay Meteorettes ahead of taking on the Flames at Carmichael Ford Stadium who were back home having won three on the trot.
North Gold Coast made a good start to leading by three points at quarter-time before it was Townsville going into half-time leading 41-40.
The Seahawks then had another 20 points to 15 in the third quarter and they retained control to open up a double figure lead in the final term on the way to the eight-point victory.
The win improves North Gold Coast to a 4-6 record with Antoniette Emma-Nnopu coming up huge with 30 points, 19 rebounds and there steals on 12/20 shooting from the floor and 6/7 at the foul line.
Georgia Woolley also delivered 26 points, six rebounds and five assists, Katie Deeble 10 points, four boards, thee assists and two steals, and Charli Reece eight points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Townsville are now 6-4 with the home defeat with Courtney Woods producing another 31 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
Bree Stephens also had 16 points and two rebounds, and Ella Tofaeono eight points, four boards and three assists.
Southern Districts Spartans (71) lost to Logan Thunder (91)
Leah Scott set the tone early with a 17-point first quarter and Logan Thunder rode that momentum the rest of the way for a sixth straight win beating the Southern Districts Spartans 91-71 on the road.
It was the first time the two teams have done battle since last year's Grand Final series where Logan came back from dropping the first game to win the last two for the championship as the Spartans hosted them on Saturday night at Rowland Cowan Stadium.
Southern Districts were fresh off starting the weekend with a 22-point road win over the Gold Coast Rollers but Logan shot out of the blocks opening up a 16-point lead in the first quarter with Scott scoring 17 of their 25 points.
That lead for the Thunder continued to grow throughout the evening and got out to as much as 24 in the fourth team before they settled with the 20-point victory to make it three straight wins over the Spartans.
Logan have now won six straight wins this season to improve to an 8-1 record in their championship defence while Southern Districts are 8-4 having split their double header weekend.
After that 17-point first quarter, Scott finished with 27 with eight rebounds and two steals for Logan on 11/18 shooting from the field.
Mikhaela Cann added 25 points, six assists and five rebounds on 9/11 shooting with Amandine Toi contributing 20 points, two rebounds and two assists, and Prasayus Notoa five points, 11 boards and three assists.
Mikayla Cowling finished with 27 points, 14 rebounds and four assists for Southern Districts with Hayley McDowell-White providing 18 points, three boards and three assists, and Emily Preston 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.

SUNDAY
Ipswich Force (76) lost to Northside Wizards (107)
Nadeen Payne was on fire in the first half and the Northside Wizards kept their hot form going with the 107-76 Sunday road victory against the Ipswich Force.
Both teams were playing their only game of Round 9 with the Force at home at Ipswich Basketball Stadium trying to snap a four-game losing slide with the Wizards arriving having won their past couple.
The Wizards opened up a 16-point lead already in the first quarter and were up by 18 at half-time with Payne already having 20 points to her name.
That lead continued to grow for Northside getting out to 31 points in the third frame and 34 in the fourth on the way to the eventual 31-point victory.
The result makes it three straight wins for the Wizards with a 6-4 record while the Force have now lost their past five to now sit at 2-8.
Payne ended up top scoring for the Wizards with 23 points and three rebounds on 8/12 shooting from the floor and 6/6 at the free-throw line.
Kelsey Ransom also had 21 points, five assists and three rebounds, Grace Ellis 18 points, 12 boards and three assists, Nes'eya Parker-Williams 17 points, eight rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks, and Georgia Puruto 10 points on 3/4 shooting from the floor and 4/4 at the free-throw line.
Hannah Young ended up with 15 points, five rebounds and two assists for Ipswich on 3/4 three-point shooting with Valerie Huerta contributing 14 points, five boards and four assists, Olivia West 11 points, four rebounds and three assists, and Natasha Elliott nine points, three boards and two assists.
