The Gold Coast Rollers put up another monster score with Brodie McGregor, Preston Le Gassick, Jensen Bradtke and James Whitt combining for 91 points in the 127-91 win over the Cal Dalton-less Logan Thunder to earn hosting rights for the NBL1 North Grand Final series.

Gold Coast had been an unstoppable offensive force for a lot of the season to end up in second position at 14-2 to earn a break in the first week of the finals having averaged 112.3 points a game and having six out of the 16 matches of over 120.

That meant it was quite the challenge Logan were facing at Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium after the Thunder ended the regular season fourth at 12-4 before beating the Mackay Meteors in the qualifying final by 23 points last Saturday night.

But they came into the match up against Gold Coat missing Cal Dalton with a knee injury after he had a standout season to end up named to the All-Second Team.

Logan were able to stick with Gold Coast in the first quarter with both teams putting up 30 points apiece with the Rollers shooting 14/25 with Boston Mazlin up to 10 points while Logan were going 13/20 and Zac Triplett had scored 10.

It was a pace much more suited to Gold Coast, though, should it keep up and the Rollers did score another 36 points in the second quarter with 12/21 shooting from the field and 11/13 from the free-throw line.

Logan were still doing their best to stick with the home team and had 25 points on 6/11 shooting from the floor and 10/15 from the foul line.

But it was Gold Coast leading 66-55 by half-time with Brodie McGregor having 18 points and Jensen Bradtke 14 to go with eight rebounds while Shaun Bruce had a double double already with 12 points and 13 assists for Logan.

But Gold Coast completed a 12-0 scoring run to end up leading by as much as 20 points in the third quarter and the lead was still 92-76 by three quarter-time.

It was then all the Rollers in the final term with 35 points on 14/24 shooting from the field and 4/8 from downtown while holding the Thunder to 15 on 6/22 shooting on the way to the eventual 36-point triumph.

Not only does the win get Gold Coast into the Grand Final series, but with Cairns losing on their home floor, the Rollers now earn the hosting rights next weekend against the Ipswich Force.

Gold Coast ended up shooting 54 per cent from the field to 46 from Logan while getting up an extra 21 shots while having 23 offensive rebounds to eight, and 57 rebounds to 34 overall.

Brodie McGregor ended up with 26 points and nine rebounds for the Rollers with Preston Le Gassick delivering 24 points, eight assists, five boards and four steals, and Jensen Bradtke 22 points and 13 rebounds.

James Whitt also had 19 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals, Boston Mazlin 15 points, five boards and three assists, and Jackson McCabe 11 points and five rebounds.

It's the end of the season for Logan with Zac Triplett finishing with 22 points and six rebounds with Shaun Bruce delivering 16 points, 16 assists and six boards.

Hunter Marks also had 17 points and eight rebounds with Tyrone Fui contributing 11 points, four boards and two steals, Andrew Watene nine points and two assists, and Tane Kirisome seven points and three rebounds.
