FRIDAY
Cairns Marlins (106) defeated Ipswich Force (91)
The Cairns Marlins outscored the Ipswich Force 58 points to 32 in the first and fourth quarters on Friday night to stay undefeated with the eventual 106-91 home victory.
Cairns were back home at Trinity Ford Stadium putting their undefeated record on the line against the visiting Ipswich who needed at least one win this weekend from their road double in the Far North to consolidate a playoff position.
The Marlins then had 32 points to 17 in the first quarter but over the next two periods Ipswich had 59 points to 50 to be just four down at three quarter-time only for Cairns to take control once more with a 26-15 final term.
That saw the Marlins secure the 15-point victory to improve to a perfect 12-0 record this season with Ipswich now slipping to 6-6 having lost their past two.
Amarco Doyle scored 13 of his 25 points for the night in the third quarter for Cairns to go with six rebounds on 10/15 field goal shooting while hitting 3/5 from beyond the arc.
Kody Stattmann had another 21 points, seven rebounds, five steals and two assists, Ky Stattmann 16 points and four boards, Luca Yates 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists, Kobe McDowell-White 15 points, 13 assists and seven boards, and Kyle Leslie nine points with 3/5 three-point shooting.
Lamar Patterson finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Ipswich while going 11/12 at the free-throw line despite 6/20 from the field and 1/11 from behind the three-point line.
Lachlan Anderson added 17 points, four rebounds and two steals, Sam McDaniel 15 points and two boards, Mitch Poulain 11 points and six rebounds, and Merrick Small 10 points and four boards.

SATURDAY
Brisbane Capitals (79) lost to Gold Coast Rollers (92)
Jensen Bradtke delivered 27 points and 15 rebounds, and Preston Le Gassick 25 points and six assists with the Gold Coast Rollers taking charge in the fourth quarter for the hard earned 92-79 win over the Brisbane Capitals.
The Caps were back home at Auchenflower Stadium trying to arrest a three-game losing slide and trying to break back into the top six but it was a big test against the high-powered Gold Coast still sitting in second place and putting up over 111 points a game.
Not much separated the teams through the first three quarters with a five-point lead for Gold Coast at quarter-time before being up by just three at half-time, and by four at three quarter-time.
But then the Rollers took charge in the final period with 28 points to 19 to secure the 13-point win to improve to a 10-2 record to stay second while Brisbane are still outside the top six now at 6-7 and having lost four in-a-row.
The great strength of this Gold Coast team is that on any given night they have a number of players capable of putting in match winning performances and it was Jensen Bradtke's turn.
On the back of a first NBL season at the Brisbane Bullets, he delivered 27 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and two steals with 12/20 field goal shooting.
Preston Le Gassick also had 25 points, six assists and two rebounds with 4/8 three-point shooting while Boston Mazlin contributed 17 points, seven boards, seven assists and two steals, James Whitt nine points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals, and Brodie McGregor nine points, four boards, three assists and two blocks.
The Caps did plenty right despite night quite being able to complete the job as they tried to break back into the top six with Kai Bloom finishing with 23 points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals.
Brendan Teys added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists, Geordan Papacostas 13 points and 12 boards, Jarred Bairstow 12 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists, and Kai Woodfall eight points, two boards and two assists.
Northside Wizards (104) defeated South West Metro Pirates (71)
Tyler Williams and Quintin Dove combined for 55 points to lead the Northside Wizards to a fourth win of the season with the 104-71 win at home over the Flynn Cameron-less South West Metro Pirates.
The Pirates had become the talk of the league in recent weeks having added the Adelaide 36ers NBL star and had won four straight, but his stint with them had come to an end as they took on the Wizards at Northside Indoor Sports Centre.
Northside then went on to open up a 14-point lead in the first quarter which grew to 28 in the second, 29 in the third and 33 in the fourth before they secured the win by that 33-point margin.
The victory improves the Wizards to a 4-8 record with Tyler Williams putting up 32 points, seven assists, three rebounds and three steals.
Quintin Dove then had another 23 points and two rebounds with Jed Richardson contributing 12 points, 11 boards and two steals, and Durrell McDonald 11 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals.
Tyson Warren also had nine points, four rebounds and two assists, and Brodie Crown nine points and six boards.
The Pirates are now 4-9 following the defeat with playing-coach Darryl McDowell-White delivering 16 points, three steals and two rebounds with Deng Mayot adding 11 points, four boards, two assists and two steals.
Harrison Huber added 11 points and four rebounds, Brandon Edwards 11 points, three assists and two boards, and Dominique Keyes 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Rockhampton Rockets (99) lost to Mackay Meteors (118)
The Mackay Meteors consolidated their top six position with Jerron Jamerson and Maurice Calloo both scoring 24 points in the 118-99 victory against the Rockhampton Rockets.
The Rockets were back home at Bravus Arena trying to snap a five-game losing slide while Mackay arrived needing to win to remain inside the top six by the end of the round.
It was an entertaining affair in the first with the Rockets leading 29-28 by quarter-time before Mackay took over with 32 points to 26 in the second period to go into half-time leading 60-55.
The Meteors then put up 31 points to 20 in the third term and then ended up leading by as much as 27 on the way to the 19-point victory to stay in the top six with a 7-5 record.
Jerron Jamerson delivered 24 points, nine assists and three rebounds for Mackay with Maurice Calloo adding 24 points, six boards and three assists with 3/6 from three-point territory.
Jalen Johnson added 19 points, nine rebounds and two assists, Cameron Goldfinch 19 points and seven boards, Derek Emelifeonwu 16 points, seven assists and four rebounds, and Seth Ham nine points and nine boards.
Rockhampton have now lost six in-a-row to be 2-10 with Junior Madut delivering 28 points and seven assists with Jalen Graham adding 28 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Treauhn Williams also had 18 points and five rebounds with Jack Tweedy adding 11 points and five assists, and Hayden Richardson six points and two rebounds.
Townsville Heat (92) lost to Ipswich Force (131)
The Ipswich Force put up 65 points in the first half and then 42 in the last quarter on the way to the thumping 131-92 win over the Townsville Heat with Lachlan Anderson delivering 36 points with eight three-pointers.
The Force started their road double in the Far North losing to the Cairns Marlins while Townsville came into the match up at Carmichael Ford Stadium having lost their past three matches.
It was then a blistering start from the Force with 35 points to 17 in the first quarter and another 30 to 22 in the second on the way to the 65-39 lead by half-time.
The Heat did attempt to mount a fightback with 28 points to 24 in the third term but then Ipswich took control once more with 42 points to 25 in the last quarter on the way to the 39-point victory.
The Force are now 7-6 having split their weekend road double with Lachlan Anderson delivering 36 points and five rebounds with a stunning 8/11 three-point shooting.
Lamar Patterson also had 23 points, three assists and two steals on 4/8 three-point shooting with Sam McDaniel contributing 19 points, two rebounds and two assists, and Will Mahoney 16 points, 11 boards, three assists and three steals on 4/6 shooting from deep.
Townsville slip further from the playoffs at 3-9 with four consecutive defeats with Richard Peachey top scoring with 28 points, seven rebounds and four assists with 4/7 three-point shooting.
Max Norton added 15 points, three assists and two rebounds on 4/10 three-point shooting with Nathaniel Pollard Jr having 14 points, 13 boards, six assists and two blocks, Steven Richardson Jr 11 points and four rebounds, and Ethan Betts 11 points and seven assists.
Sunshine Coast Phoenix (109) defeated Southern Districts Spartans (95)
Earnest Ross put up 31 points and the Sunshine Coast Phoenix maintained touch with the top two and retained third position with the 109-95 win over the defending champion Southern Districts Spartans.
The Phoenix hosted the Spartans at Maroochydore Stadium with them needing to keep winning to stay third and in touch of the second while the Spartans are still trying to build momentum into their title defence.
It was a flying start from Sunshine Coast with 38 points to 28 in the first quarter and then that lead blew out to 24 in the second term thanks to going on a 12-0 run.
The Phoenix were still leading 57-45 by half-time and then they went on with that to retain a double figure advantage throughout the second half on the way to the 14-point victory.
The win improves Sunshine Coast to a 9-3 record in third position with Earnest Ross delivering 31 points, three rebounds and two assists with 5/9 three-point shooting.
Darnell Robateau also had 16 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals, Luke Anderson 16 points, four boards, four assists and three steals, and Erik Kafritsas 14 points, six rebounds and three assists.
DeShawn Ross-Paiwan also had 12 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals, Nelson Kahler 12 points, four boards and three blocks, and Liam Switzer eight points, five rebounds and two assists.
Southern Districts remain outside a playoff position as defending champions at 6-8 with Ben Hastings top scoring with 20 points on 4/9 three-point shooting.
Tamuri Wigness added 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists, Isaih Tueta 10 points, five assists, three boards and three steals, Darcy Ryder 10 points and two rebounds, and Troy Baxter Jr eight points, three assists and two rebounds.

SUNDAY
North Gold Coast Seahawks (85) lost to Logan Thunder (105)
Cal Dalton and Zac Triplett both scored 24 points and Shaun Bruce had another 16 assists as Logan Thunder got back to winning with the 105-85 Sunday win over the North Gold Coast Seahawks.
Logan arrived at Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium coming off a last up loss to Flynn Cameron and the South West Metro Pirates while the Seahawks hosted them trying to take a big scalp late in the season.
Logan were on fire with 32 points in the first quarter, though, with Bruce already having eight assists to set the tone for the afternoon and from there the Thunder ended up leading by as much as 20 on the way to the 20-point road victory.
The win improves the Thunder to an 8-3 record on the season while the Seahawks remain in bottom place at 2-10.
Dalton was a powerful presence inside once more for Logan with 24 points and three rebounds on 10/15 shooting but he also hit all three of his three-point attempts when he stepped out beyond the arc.
Triplett also had 24 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals with 5/15 three-point shooting while Bruce delivered yet another 16 points and 16 assists along with six rebounds on 4/7 shooting from the land of plenty.
Tyrone Fui added 12 points, two rebounds and two assists, and Hunter Marks 11 points and four boards.
Sean Murphy produced 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in the loss for North Gold Coast with Conor O'Sullivan adding 13 points, five boards, three assists and two steals, and Jermaine Fui 11 points with 3/5 three-point shooting.
Isaiah Oste-Pinder also had 11 points and three rebounds, Zahn Agosta 10 points, two boards and two assists, Jasraj Gill eight points, three rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks, and Jordan Schwalger six points, seven rebounds and two steals.
