The GEBC Cup continues in 2026, with the Nunawading Spectres and Ringwood Hawks set to meet once again as part of the Greater Eastern Basketball Conference partnership.

Built on a shared commitment to junior development and community engagement, the GEBC Cup represents the connection between two of Melbourne’s strongest eastern suburbs programs. While both associations operate independently throughout the week, they unite through the GEBC competition on Saturdays, providing a platform for thousands of junior athletes each week.
The 2026 series tips off with Part 1 on Tuesday night, April 7, as Ringwood hosts at Norwood Secondary College. The women’s game gets underway at 6:00pm, followed by the men’s clash at 8:00pm, with both sides looking to secure an early edge in the four-game Cup series.
Designed to be decided across the regular season meetings between the two clubs, the GEBC Cup will once again be awarded to the team with the most wins across the series, with percentage acting as the tiebreaker if required. Part 2 of the series is set for Round 11 later in the season, continuing the race for Cup honours.
With strong pathways, deep community ties and a history of competitive matchups, the GEBC Cup continues to showcase the alignment between junior development and the NBL1 South stage, with Tuesday night marking the opening chapter of the 2026 series.
