Flames announce first NBL1 West signings

The Rockingham Flames have begun building their 2021 NBL1 West rosters, signing Jackson Hussey to their men’s team and Alex Ciabattoni to their women’s team.

Hussey is coming off a strong 2020 West Coast Classic season with the Flames, averaging 22.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. Hussey played for the Perth Wildcats in the 2016/17 NBL season as an injury replacement.

Ciabattoni was a key member of the Flames’ 2019 SBL championship team, averaging 17.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game after arriving midway through the season. She is playing for the Perth Lynx in the 2020 WNBL season.

NBL1 West was announced as NBL1’s newest conference last week, as basketball in Western Australia prepares to go to the next level.
