Central Spotlight | Eagles keep winning with Forbes triple double

The Forestville Eagles made it a fourth straight win with a big win on the road to the Southern Tigers.

Jordan Forbes had a triple double, Greg Mays a double double, Adam Doyle hit four triples and the Forestville Eagles made it four consecutive NBL1 Central wins beating the Southern Tigers 98-84.
The Tigers were back home at Morphett Vale Basketball Stadium after beating the West Adelaide Bearcats on Anzac Day while the Eagles arrived on a three-match winning run having lost just once in 2026.
The Eagles were then leading the Tigers all evening and continued to build on their advantage with it getting out to as much as 20 points on the way to the 14-point win with their big guns all delivering strong showings.
The win is a fourth in-a-row for Forestville as they improve to 7-1 in the NBL1 Central season while the Tigers are 2-6 after seven rounds.

Jordan Forbes delivered a triple double in the win for Forestville with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and four steals on 10/19 shooting from the floor.
Greg Mays also provided 20 points and 10 rebounds, Daniel Johnson 17 points, four boards and four assists, and Adam Doyle 14 points with 4/8 three-point shooting including a couple on back-to-back possessions right in front of the Tigers bench.
Alex Starling also ended up with eight points, 14 rebounds and four assists, and Fiston Ipassou 10 points, two boards and two steals.
The Tigers did their best to stick with the Eagles and Devin Fortune was leading their charge and ended up with 24 points, 12 rebounds and two assists on 10/16 shooting from the floor and 3/6 from three-point range.
Koop McCalop added 14 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Tigers, Che Brogan 14 points, eight assists and seven boards, Manny Wugol 12 points and an assist, and Nick Logan nine points and two assists.

Both teams had winning form coming into the contest and they combined for 55 points in the first quarter with Forestville leading 31-24 by quarter-time.
Jordan Forbes and Greg Mays both had nine points each for the Eagles while they were shooting 61 per cent as a team with just three three-point attempts while the Tigers went 3/12 from deep and Devin Fortune had 13 points already by the end of one.
The Eagles again threatened to pull away going up 15 during the second term and they were still leading 49-38 going into half-time with Forbes up to 14 points and Mays 13 by the break.
The three-point shooting was still hurting the Tigers with them going 3/21 by half-time but Fortune was up to 15 points and seven rebounds to be doing all he could to keep his team in the contest.
It was another 29 points to 23 in favour of Forestville in the third quarter with the lead getting out to as much as 20 with Forbes putting together quite the game with 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals already to three quarter-time.
The Eagles were leading 78-61 by the end of three and then completed the job on the 14-point victory to make it four straight to improve to 7-1.
Forestville remain on the road next Saturday when they take on the North Adelaide Rockets while the Tigers are also away from home next week when play the Woodville Warriors.
