2023 NBL1 stars feature across WNBL Awards Night

The 2023 NBL1 season will be stacked with WNBL Award winners as Lauren Nicholson and Isobel Borlase took home silverware in the WNBL’s Awards Night.
The Forestville Eagles' young star signing Isobel Borlase took home both the Betty Watson Breakout Player of the Year and Sixth Woman of the Year.
Playing with the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence last season, Borlase proved herself against some of the best NBL1 women’s talent nationwide.
Coming off her fantastic NBL1 season, she scored 25 points in her WNBL debut and finished the season walking away with two major awards.
Borlase will now join the Forestville Eagles in NBL1 Central starting on March 25.
While reigning NBL1 East Defensive Player of the Year Lauren Nicholson was named to the All-WNBL Second Team. After averaging 16.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the top-of-the-ladder Townsville Fire.
She’ll return to Sutherland after the WNBL Finals, with the NBL1 East starting on March 11.
