Raiders Add NBA G-League Talent Brandon Slater

The Knox Raiders have announced the signing of Brandon Slater for the upcoming NBL1 South 2026 season.

Slater will arrive at Knox following experience across the NBA pathway bringing size, versatility and perimeter shooting to the Raiders’ lineup ahead of the new campaign.

The 202cm sharpshooter played his entire college career with the Villanova Wildcats, where he started all 34 games in his senior season and averaged 9.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 29 minutes per contest, while shooting 34.7 per cent from three-point range and 91.8 per cent from the free throw line.

Following to 2023 NBA Draft, Slater signed with the Boston Celtics before moving to their G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics. With Maine, he averaged 7.8 points in 21 minutes per game and shot 38 per cent from beyond the arc.

Slater is currently competing with the Greensboro Swarm (Charlotte Hornets G-League affliate), where he is averaging six points in 14 minutes per game. He also featured in the 2025 NBA Summer League with the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 18 minutes per outing.
