Alicia Froling will return to the Knox Raiders for the NBL1 South 2026 season, fresh off a WNBL Championship with the Townsville Fire.
Froling was a key contributor throughout Townsville’s 2025/26 title-winning campaign, averaging 12.75 points and 8.39 rebounds per game as the Fire secured the Championship in a dramatic Grand Final series against the Perth Lynx.
On the biggest stage, she elevated again. Across the two-game Grand Final series, Froling averaged 21.0 points and 7.5 rebounds, including 25 points and eight boards in the decisive Game 2 overtime victory that sealed the title.
The WNBL triumph adds another layer to what has already been an outstanding 12 months.
In 2025, Froling was named to the NBL1 South Women’s First Team following a dominant campaign with Knox. She played a crucial role in the Raiders’ championship run, producing 15 points and 13 rebounds in the NBL1 South Grand Final as Knox defeated Geelong United to claim the title.
The Raiders went on to complete the double at the NBL1 National Finals, defeating the previously unbeaten Cockburn Cougars to secure the NBL1 National Championship, with Froling again providing strong interior presence and rebounding impact throughout the tournament.
Now a WNBL Champion, NBL1 South Champion, NBL1 National Champion and NBL1 South First Team selection within the past year, Froling returns to Knox for 2026 carrying elite form and championship experience into the new season.
The NBL1 South 2026 season tips off on Friday 27th March 2026. For all the latest updates, including player signings, coaching appointments and league news, make sure you’re following NBL1 South on Facebook and Instagram.
