Nes'eya Parker-Williams continued to shine in her first NBL1 North season leading the Northside Wizards to the 74-66 win over the Rockhampton Cyclones as they wrapped up their road trip in winning fashion.
The Wizards were playing their second game in 24 hours arriving at Bravus Arena coming off a 10-point loss to the Mackay Meteorettes while the Cyclones were hunting a second win so far of 2026.
Northside took over the contest in the second quarter to leading 43-26 by half-time with Parker-Williams already having 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The Wizards would end up leading by as much as 19 points and then survived 23 points in the last quarter from the Cyclones for the eight-point win to improve to a 4-4 record.

Northside ended up shooting 45 per cent from the field to just 30 from the Cyclones with the Wizards managing to win still despite the 21 turnovers, the 22 free-throw attempts from Rockhampton and the 13 offensive rebounds from the home team.
Nes'eya Parker-Williams last played in the NBL1 when she won a West championship with the Rockingham Flames back in 2024 but she is enjoying life in the North for the first time now having joined the Wizards in 2026.
She already had a double double to half-time and finished the game with 24 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks with 4/9 three-point shooting.
Kelsey Ransom added 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals for the Wizards, Grace Ellis 13 points and 11 boards, Courtney Virgo nine points and three assists, and Kahlaijah Dean six points and six assists.
It was a tough night for most of the game for Rockhampton with Emily Kiser finishing with 19 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and three blocked shots with 6/24 shooting from the field but making 4/6 from beyond the arc.
Shanique Lucas added 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals, Tai Wakelin-Gray 11 points, seven boards and four steals, and Akaysha Muggeridge nine points and two rebounds.
Both teams came into the match up trying to get back to the winner's list and it was the Wizards getting the better of the start to go into quarter-time leading 18-15.
Northside shot 47 per cent to the 30 from Rockhampton but the Cyclones did stay in touch with three offensive rebounds to one, and forcing the Wizards into five turnovers.
The Wizards then took total control in the second quarter with 25 points to 11 where they shot 10/20 from the field while limiting the Cyclones to 3/16 shooting.
That saw Northside head into half-time on top 43-26 with Nes'eya Parker-Williams already having a double double to her name with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
While Rockhampton did try to make a couple of runs throughout the second half and scored seven straight points in the third term, and six in the fourth.
And even with the Cyclones having 23 points to 13 in the final period, the Wizards still held firm to secure the eight-point victory to wrap up their road double.
Rockhampton now have a road double next weekend to the Logan Thunder and South West Metro Pirates while the Wizards head home to host the Sunshine Coast Phoenix next Saturday.
