SATURDAY NIGHT

WOMEN
NORTH ADELAIDE ROCKETS 37 lost to BASKETBALL AUSTRALIA CENTRE of EXCELLENCE 98
The Bendigo Braves women retain their hold on the Wildcard spot after the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence made light work of the North Adelaide Rockets on Saturday night 98-37.

It was an even spread of points for the BA CoE, with seven of their 10 players hitting double digits, with a team high 14 points to Sienna Harvey.

For the Rockets, Samantha Defrancesco led the way with 11 points and seven rebounds, while Lily Zbierski also pulled down seven boards.

MEN
NORTH ADELAIDE ROCKETS 63 lost to BASKETBALL AUSTRALIA CENTRE of EXCELLENCE 94
The Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence remain undefeated in their first two weeks of competition against some of the best teams in NBL1.

After back to back road wins in Far North Queensland last weekend, the young stars have notched up another win against the reigning men’s champions of NBL1 Central, the North Adelaide Rockets.

The Rockets held the BA CoE to just 10 points in the second quarter, but period of 32 (first) and 28 (third) created too big of a gap to prevail.

Five players hit double digits for the CoE with Tyrese Proctor leading the way with 14 points. It was a rebound feast for the CoE with nine (Rory Hawke), nine (Alex Toohey), eight (Bowyn Beatty) and seven (Bol Dengdit) filling the stats sheet.

North Adelaide only had one player in double digits, with Jamar Akoh scoring 11 in a tough night for the home team.
