NBL1 players star in FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup

NBL1 stars feature in the top teams of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup!

Ringwood Hawks star Marena Whittle was named MVP of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2023 after Australia took the title over New Zealand last night.

The 2022 NBL1 South Finals MVP was the leading scorer with 43 points and topped player-value (43.7) to power Australia's unbeaten run as they claimed their third Asia Cup title. 

She was joined in the Team of the Tournament by teammate Anneli Maley and Sharne Pupuke-Robati, who led New Zealand to the silver medal. 

On the men’s side, South Adelaide Panthers’ star signing Daniel Johnson was named to the Team of the Tournament as Australia claimed silver falling short of Mongolia.
