NBL1 East
Albury-Wodonga Bandits: Jamir Coleman
Jamir was an all-round baller in Round 3. In the Bandits’ 10-point win over the Hills Hornets, Coleman scored 30 points, 11 rebounds and two steals.
Coleman’s shooting percentage against the Hornets was a whopping 70% from the field, putting down 11 points in the fourth quarter to secure their win.

Sutherland Sharks: Emily Garland
The Sharks’ record of 2-1 this season is about to ramp up with the likes of Garland who scored 31-points with eight rebounds and two assists against the Inner West Bulls on Saturday at home.
An impressive stat line and record considering Sutherland still await their two key signings in WNBL champions Aliza Fabbro and Lauren Nicholson. Sharks fans should be excited for the rest of Garland’s season to see if they can create a deadly trio going forward.

NBL1 North
Mackay Meteors: Isaac White
Isaac White went into the NBL1 North’s opening round with guns blazing, almost putting up a triple-double with 40 points, seven rebounds and nine assists in his 37-minute stint.
White and the Meteors showed the Rockhampton Rockets what a Mackay home-court advantage looked like as they beat Rockhampton by 16-point win and a 100+ point score.

Cairns Dolphins: Penina Davidson
After her glowing review of Cairns, she returned for the 2023 season and in the opening round scored 40 points, 21 rebounds and two assists.
Davidson said moving to the NBL1 was the “best basketball decision I’ve made,” which will hopefully have fans on the edge of their seats moving forward and watching Davidson’s superstar antics.

NBL1 Central
South Adelaide Panthers: Alex Starling
In round 1 of NBL1 Central, the reigning Finals MVP and Defensive Player of the Year Alex Starling provided 36 points, 21 rebounds and five assists in the Panthers’ 94-79 win over the Eastern Mavericks.
During the week Starling made some bold statements about his season ahead.
“Because of my strength and my tenacity, I can play big, I can play the five. I’m the quickest in the league. I’m the fastest in the league,” he told The Hoopsters.
“I say that wholeheartedly and I believe that."

North Adelaide Rockets: Lauren Mansfield
After having an impressive WNBL season, Lauren Mansfield has reset her roots in her home state of South Australia.
She top-scored over the weekend with 24 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in a great start to the North Adelaide Rockets’ season.
