Taking down the pre-season darling Cockburn Cougars by eight points, then following that up with a clutch three-point win against the Goldfields Giants. Round 3 was a statement for the club.
“For a club that is certainly proud, they are a renowned championship-winning organisation and this is going to do a world of positives for that organisation,” Greg Hire explained on The NBL1 Show.
Hire stated that their new recruit Hayden Brown was the x-factor in their weekend, collecting the Foot Locker Player of the Week award with an average of 27.5 points, five rebounds and 1.5 assists.
