The Nunawading Spectres have bolstered their frontcourt with the addition of Eliza Hollingsworth for the NBL1 South 2026 season.
Hollingsworth arrives at Nunawading following an impressive Big V Championship campaign with Pakenham, where she averaged 15.42 points, 12.21 rebounds and 1.58 assists per game. The 6’3” forward brings versatility, size and experience to the Spectres lineup.
A graduate of the Basketball Victoria pathway, Hollingsworth represented Vic Metro from 2016 to 2018 before earning a scholarship to the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence. She went on to represent Australia at the U16 and U17 levels before heading to the United States to compete in NCAA Division I basketball with Gonzaga University, where she earned a starting role and was named to the All-West Coast Conference Second Team in her graduate year.
“Eliza brings experience, size, and a professional approach to everything she does. She’s a 6’3” stretch who can hit the glass, score efficiently, and communicate at a high level. I had the privilege of coaching her as a junior, and it’s exciting to see how far she’s come. I expect that she’ll have a big impact for us,” said Nunawading head coach Paul Flynn.
“Eliza has been in winning environments, where you have to compete every possession of every day. What stands out now is the maturity she has developed through her collegiate experience, along with her stops in both the NBL1 and Big V competitions. Her coming here makes us better from Day 1,” Flynn added.
The NBL1 South 2026 season tips off on Friday 27th March 2026. For all the latest updates, including player signings, coaching appointments and league news, make sure you’re following NBL1 South on Facebook and Instagram.
