Supercats open account with win over hot Blues
The Geelong United Supercats are on the board for the 2023 NBL1 South season and they did it in style beating the on-fire Frankston Blues 79-73.
The Supercats hosted the Blues at The Arena with Frankston arriving on fire including being fresh off a 28-point hammering of the Dandenong Rangers on Monday, but Geelong United came out with a point to prove.

However, the Supercats used the home crowd to spur them on and claim the six-point win to open their account for 2023 after four consecutive losses and to hand Frankston their second defeat in the process.
Gabe Hadley finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals for the winners, George Blagojevic 21 points, 15 boards, three assists and three steals, Maalo Hicks 10 points and four rebounds, Nick Velasquez eight points, and the returning DeMarcus Gatlin seven points, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
