NBL1 Central
North Adelaide Rockets: Brooke Basham
Rockets’ guard Brooke Basham was a standout player in NBL1 Central’s Round 4 against the Bearcats. Basham put down 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists in her 35-minute stint.
Basham helped the Rockets gain a 13-point win at home, resulting in a fifth on the ladder position and an even 2-2 record. The 25-year-old is currently averaging 22.7 points, 7 rebounds and 3.3 assists four rounds into the NBL1 season.

Central Districts Lions: Branden Jenkins
Branden Jenkin’s racked up an impressive 39 points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Lions. Jenkin’s was the leading scorer in what was a nail-biting loss to the South Adelaide Panthers, losing by just three points.
Jenkin’s stellar performance on Saturday brought his season average to 26.5 points per game shooting at 50per cent from the field with 4.5 rebounds.
Jenkins recorded five mighty triples against the Panthers, his shot count on Saturday night has now sparked a flame for the Lions’ guard to continue that momentum.

NBL1 East
Bankstown Bruins: Violet Morrow
The NBL1 East’s standout player over the weekend was import Violet Morrow, with a Round 5 average of 25.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and three assists.
In an eleven-point win over the Canberra Nationals, Morrow hit 30 points to lead the Bruins to their first victory of the week.
Morrow was a vital part of Bankstown’s second win over the Albury-Wodonga Bandits on Sunday. She recorded 21 points, nine rebounds and five assists in their three-point win.
“All eyes are now going to be on [her] Morrow,” NBL1 East analyst Jacinta Govind said on the latest episode of The NBL1 Show.

Norths Bears: Junior Madut
Former South East Melbourne Phoenix player Junior Madut sent shock waves yet again through NBL1 East, dropping 50 points in the Bears’ second win of the week. Madut was by far the most dominant player on his side in a 51-point win to the Panthers.
“Junior Madut was literally the difference,” Govind said on the Bears’ win over the Panthers.
Madut led the Bears to a win at home over Manly Warringah which saw Norths take out a 2-0 record in Round 5. Over his two games this past weekend, Madut averaged a healthy 37 points, five rebounds and 3.5 assists.

NBL1 North
Brisbane Capitals: Mia Loyd
Mia Loyd dominated the Capitals’ two games in the NBL1 North’s Round 3 games over the weekend. Loyd’s average came to 20 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists against the Cairns Dolphins and Townsville Flames.
Cairns was a challenge and Loyd proved her versatile play with 12 rebounds to help narrow the margin for her side. Loyd’s three-point shooting percentage was close to outstanding in that game at 83.3 percent.

Gold Coast Rollers: Jason Cadee
NBL veteran Jason Cadee helped the Rollers secure a 29-point win on Sunday to the Sunshine Coast Phoenix. Cadee put down 33 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.
An unfortunate loss that went down to the wire against the Logan Thunder at the start of the round didn’t stop Cadee from coming out and suiting up for their second matchup.
Although the Rollers came out of Round 3 with an even 1-1 record, Cadee helped lead the team to an overall 2-2 record and tenth ladder seating for the championship team.
Cadee’s average over the two games was 27 points, 5.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists.

NBL1 South
Ringwood Hawks: Marena Whittle
Experienced baller Marena Whittle stepped up for the Hawks with an average of 22.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in NBL1 South’s Round 2.
Whittle recorded 29 points in the Hawks’ 78-65 win over the Diamond Valley Eagles with a massive 15 rebounds.
In their second win of Round 2, Whittle’s rebounding continued to shine with 12 rebounds three steals over the Hobart Chargers. The NBL1 South Finals MVP led the Hawks to a 2-0 record.

Nunawading Spectres: William Carius
Another 2-0 record for NBL1 South’s Player of the Week, Will Carius. He dropped 30 points against the Knox Raiders, resulting in an 84-76 win.
The 25-year-old forward’s season average of 24 points was also thanks to his second victory with the team on Saturday night against the Ballarat Miners. Carius recorded 28 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in a 28-point win.
Over the two games, Carius’ average was 29 points, nine rebounds and 1.5 assists for the Spectres.

NBL1 West
Cockburn Cougars: Sarah Mortensen
Mortensen was a clear versatile player for the Cougars over the Lakeside Lightning on Friday. Mortensen led the team with 34 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.
Mortensen’s two-point shooting percentage was 68.4 percent, a great result to accompany her 34 points in their 99-63 win to Lakeside.
Lakeside Lightening: Hayden Brown
Hayden Brown showed his powerful impact on the court over the weekend with an average of 27.5 points, five rebounds and 1.5 assists for Lakeside.
With a shooting percentage of 62.5 per cent from the field, Brown helped the Lightning win by eight points over the Cockburn Cougars in their first matchup for Round 3.
Brown then led the team in their second victory against the Goldfields Giants with 27 points, six rebounds and two assists. Another close win to secure a 2-3 record overall.
“Hayden Brown was a stud throughout this weekend, new recruit for the Lakeside Lightening,” NBL1 West analyst Greg Hire said on the NBL1 Show.
