The Bankstown Bruins put their NBL1 East credentials on the line with the most challenging possible double in Round 12 and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles turned it into a horror show for them with Sunday's 93-56 win.
The Bruins came into the weekend on an 11-game winning streak and not having lost a game either last season or this one with Shyla Heal in the line-up.
That all changed in a terrific battle with the Norths Bears on Sunday as the Bruins tried to hit back on Sunday at Northern Beaches Indoor Sports Centre against the defending champions.
The Sea Eagles came into the contest having made it eight straight wins the day before beating the Newcastle Falcons and then they started on fire against the Bruins with 30 points.
The Bruins managed just 12 points on 4/17 shooting in the first quarter and then just 24 on 8/43 in the entire second half as Manly Warringah romped to the emphatic 37-point victory.
The win improves the Sea Eagles to a 16-1 record to remain hot on the heels of the 16-0 Bears while the Bruins are now 12-4 having lost to both top two teams in the space of less than 24 hours.

It was a second tough result of the weekend for the Bruins who came into the weekend having won 11 straight and the Sea Eagles made it a double win round themselves on the back of shooting 47 per cent from the floor to the 27 from Bankstown.
Manly Warringah also went 24/27 from the foul line to 10/13 with Alex Delaney starring with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists with 11/12 shooting from the free-throw line.
Sari Mowbray also delivered 16 points, five rebounds and two steals for the Sea Eagles, Zoey Miller 15 points, five assists, three boards and two steals, Bree Delaney 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Josie Radan 11 points and six boards.
Shyla Heal has now played in her first two defeats with Bankstown inside less than 24 hours and she finished with eight points and five rebounds on 3/16 shooting.
Davida Dale also had eight points, five rebounds and two assists, Tahlia Tupaea eight points, five boards and two assists, and Kira-May Filemu eight points and two assists.

The Bruins were looking to immediately hit back from their winning run ending the day before courtesy of the Norths Bears while the Sea Eagles arrived having won eight straight themselves including the day before against the Newcastle Falcons.
It was a scorching start on their home floor from Manly Warringah as they went on an incredible 20-0 scoring run on the way to the 30-12 advantage by quarter-time on the back of shooting 11/17 from the floor to 4/17.
Bree and Alex Delaney both had seven points each for the Sea Eagles to help build that lead while they also forced Bankstown into the six turnovers.
Manly Warringah remained on top in the second quarter to go into half-time leading 53-32 to be shooting 51 per cent 30 already along with 12/13 at the foul line to 5/7, and forcing the Bruins into eight turnovers.
Alex Delaney was up to 15 points by the half for the Sea Eagles with Zoey Miller also having 13 points for the defending champions to be leading by 21 points.
It was then another 19 points to 13 in the third quarter in favour of Manly Warringah with Bankstown having another four turnovers and managing only to shoot another 4/16 from the field.
The Sea Eagles then completed the deal with 21 points to 11 in the final term on 8/17 shooting opposed to the 4/17 from the Bruins on the way to the eventual 27-point victory against a team that had won 11 straight coming into this weekend.
Bankstown now will be trying to avoid a third straight loss on Saturday at home to the Penrith Panthers while Manly Warringah take on the Sutherland Sharks also at home on Saturday.
