Dean Kinsmans to Head Coach Blues NBL1 Women

Frankston Blues are pleased to announce that Dean Kinsman will Head Coach the ‘Powerade’ Frankston Blues Women for the next three years.

Frankston Blues (FDBA) are pleased to announce that Dean Kinsman will Head Coach the ‘Powerade’ Frankston Blues Women for the next three years.
The number and quality of candidates were of a very high calibre but subsequent to a steady and thorough selection process Dean was the unanimous choice.
Kinsman joins the Blues, with an amazing wealth of experience including five years serving as the AIS Head Coach (now Centre of Excellence), Australian Under 19 Gems Head Coach, Australian Under 21 Sapphires Assistant Coach, NZ Tall Ferns Assistant Coach and Australian Opals Camp Coach.
Currently the Head Coach at Rowville Secondary College’s basketball programs, Kinsman has had much recent success at the Champions Cup, with a team featuring Frankston Blues juniors Bonnie Deas, Shaylea Kerr and Jaymee Wadey.

FDBA Board Member and Frankston Blues Chairperson Brenda Cotta spoke about the appointment.
“The FDBA Board of Management unanimously felt Dean was the most experienced and qualified candidate.”

Kinsman was super excited to join the Blues.

Dean will begin to work with the club immediately as we prepare for the upcoming 2023 NBL1 South Season.
