Frankston Blues (FDBA) are proud to announce that Darcee Garbin will join the Blues for the upcoming NBL1 South season.

Garbin joins the Blues after spending last week in Queensland at the Australian Opals Camp with new Blues recruit point-guard Tessa Lavey, following her WNBL 2020 season with the Perth Lynx averaging 16.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Head Coach Belinda Snell spoke about Garbin joining the Blues.

“We are extremely excited to work with Darcee and looking forward to welcoming her to the Blues family.”

“Darcee will be a strong inside presence and will be a great role model for our young blues players.”

“We can’t wait to see her in Blues uniform this season!”

Darcee Garbin spoke about the decision to stay in Melbourne.

“I am very excited to be joining the Blues family.”

“After speaking with Snelly and Wayne it was an easy decision to stay here in Melbourne between Opals commitments.”

“Everyone has been so welcoming and I can’t wait to get out there for round 1”
