The Brisbane Capitals have announced the appointment of Patrick Williamson as Head Coach of the NBL1 Men’s program, alongside a broader role as the club’s High Performance Basketball Manager.

Williamson arrives in Brisbane following a successful stint with the Sutherland Sharks in NBL1 East, where he led the Men’s team to a championship in 2023. His resume also includes experience as NSW Under 20 Nationals Head Coach and High Performance Manager, further strengthening the Capitals’ leadership structure both on and off the court.

Bringing a strong background in high performance and team development, Williamson is set to play a key role in shaping the Capitals’ Men’s program and driving a competitive, professional environment.

“I’m excited to come on board with the Brisbane Capitals in both the Performance Basketball Manager role and NBL1 coaching capacity,” Williamson said.

“I’m looking forward to building a team that represents the club with pride and competes at the highest level.”

The dual appointment signals a clear focus on alignment across the Capitals’ performance pathways, with Williamson tasked with elevating standards and building a sustainable, high-performing culture.

As the club prepares for the 2026 NBL1 North season, there is strong optimism around what Williamson can bring to the program, both in immediate results and long-term growth.

The Capitals community is encouraged to welcome Patrick and get behind the team as preparations ramp up for the season ahead.
