A Winning Culture: Frankston Blues Men's Singlet Presentations

A winning culture is a culture that sets the stage for positive attitudes, high expectations, and successful performances.

Before the NBL1 South 2022 Season, the Frankston Blues Men introduced a new playing singlet program tradition.

In the opening round of the 2022 season against club rival Dandenong Rangers, club record games holder, FDBA Life Member and FDBA Board Member Grant Dennis presented the first singlet to Kynan Philippe.

In the opening game of the 2023 season against the Bendigo Braves, 2022 Captain Igor Hadziomerovic and 2023 Captain Lucas Barker presented playing singlets to Blake Jackson and Corey Hastings.

And much to Ben Perry’s surprise, Thursday night former Youth League Men's (now BA Centre of Excellence assistant coach) Ash Arnott presented Ben is playing top, before taking on the Sandringham Sabres.

Head Coach Andrew Harms spoke about the initiative.

"One of the elements of our overall cultural plan for the club is to connect key people from the past with the next generation of Blues players."

"As a senior playing group, we want the present players to understand the journey and impact many people have had on the club to get it to where it is today."

"It isn't just about past players but past coaches, administrators and support staff who have 'bled Frankston Blue' and can share what the club did and meant to them while reconnecting them to our current Blues players."

"We look forward to many opportunities and events like these in the future."

The Frankston Blues play their first home games of the NBL1 South 2023 Season this Saturday night (v. Waverley Falcons) and Sunday afternoon (v. Mt Gambier Pioneers).
