Zac is Back

The Ballarat Miners are pleased to announce that Zac Dunmore is returning for the 2023 Coles Express NBL1 South Season.

Upon re-signing with the Miners Dunmore said “I re-signed with the Miners again this season because they have given me so much development and opportunity over the years. The people involved in the club are always welcoming and helping me however they can.”

Dunmore has spent the off-season playing for his home association Ararat Redbacks in the Basketball Victoria Country Basketball League where he is shooting up a storm averaging 32 points a game.

Dunmore commented “Playing with Ararat Redback in the CBL has helped keep up my match fitness and in-game shooting reps.

Dunmore added I have been working hard on my individual skills and getting into the RAD gym as much as I can to get stronger and keep building muscle to help me compete with the bigger guys in the NBL1.”

Ballarat Miners Men’s Head Coach Luke Sunderland said “'Zac took big strides last season and has continued that form into his off-season work and CBL performances.”

Sunderland added, “I'm expecting to see another jump from him this season in his overall game and to further establish himself as one of the up-and-coming local performers in the NBL1 South.”

Ballarat Miners Elite Teams Committee Member Matt Sheehan said “It is great to have Zac on board for his 4^th playing season with the NBL1 Miners, he has continued to get better each year and we can’t wait to see where he takes his game in 2023”

Zac is the first announced re-signing for the 2023 NBL1 season and joins Nic Pozoglou who is heading into his second year of a 2-year contract. The Ballarat Miners will look to make more signing announcements over the next few weeks before the NBL1 season kicks off on Saturday, April 1^st.
