This one was always going to be a tough test for us with McKinnon winning four of their past five and having recently knocked off top placed Pakenham the night before.
Neither team could get a real advantage on the scoreboard until the end of the game where McKinnon executed very well and we struggled on the offensive end.
We unfortunately came up short going down 64-71 which now sees us with seven wins and seven losses for the season.
A long weekend break now and then we’ll be out to get back on the winner's list in two weeks.
Ballarat 64 - McKinnon 71
Jemma Amoore 15 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, Maisy Hammond 14 points, 14 rebounds, 2 blocks

Youth League Men
It was a tough game for the Miners in Eltham. After a few really strong weeks of basketball, the team has now started to become riddled with injuries, player unavailability and NBL1 commitments. Although the strength of the squad was different than standard, it presented a great opportunity for some guys to play a different role than previously exposed to and for two under-18s, Elijah McKenzie and Jack Hexter to make their VYCM Debuts.
Overall it was a good performance with many lessons to take from it.
Ballarat 60 - Eltham 90
Stepho Economou 15 points, 4 rebounds, Jacob Poyser 10 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds
