WNBL Star and Opal Marianna Tolo Joins Knox

The Knox Raiders have made a huge signing, with 3x WNBL Champion, 2x WNBL All Star Five and 2017 WNBL Defensive Player of the year Marianna Tolo joining the team for the 2021 NBL1 South Season. 

The Australian Opal with WNBA experience is going to be a Raiders favourite from day one. Head Coach Kennedy Kereama is excited by what she brings on and off the floor.

“Marianna is an exceptional person of high character, work ethic and is true champion in every sense of the word," said Kennedy.

"We are thrilled to welcome her to the Raider family and it’s a privilege to work with her in an important year of basketball.”

There's not many things on the floor that Tolo doesn't excel at.

“Marianna brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and basketball talent that would enhance any basketball program," continued Kereama.

"She’s mobile and is an excellent rim runner, presents big targets at the rim, is a great finisher around the basket, is a great passer, has high basketball I.Q and defends at an elite level.”
