The NBL1 South community will come together this weekend as the 2026 Pre-Season Blitz tips off at Hoop City – Port Melbourne from March 13–15, with FREE entry for fans all weekend.

With 28 games scheduled across three days, the Blitz offers basketball fans a chance to experience a full weekend of high-level action as teams prepare for the upcoming NBL1 South 2026 season.

Whether you're a dedicated supporter, a local basketball fan, or simply looking for something to do across the weekend, the Blitz provides the perfect opportunity to watch elite basketball up close in a unique festival-style environment.

28 Games of NBL1 Basketball

If you love basketball, this weekend delivers.

Across three days at Hoop City - Port Melbourne , 28 games will be played across multiple courts, giving fans a chance to watch a wide range of teams and matchups throughout the weekend.

It’s an early look at how teams are shaping up ahead of Round 1, with clubs testing new lineups, building chemistry and giving fans a preview of what’s to come this season.

CourtSide (Retail)

Need some new gear while you’re at the Blitz?

The CourtSide retail store inside Hoop City will be open throughout the weekend, featuring some of the biggest basketball brands including Nike, Jordan, New Balance, adidas, Li-Ning and Wade, along with Ryoko Rain, Vouseti and more.

CourtSide also carries an extensive range of larger sizes, with footwear available up to size 18.

Peaches Café, Burgers and Pizza All Weekend

A full day of basketball means you’ll need food and coffee, and Peaches Café inside Hoop City has you covered.

Taking over the café for the weekend will be Jimmy’s Burgers (@jimmysburgers), serving their famous breakfast buns and burgers, while Chef Matt Butcher (@matthew_butcher) will also be on site running “Butchys” Pizza by the Slice.

With great food, coffee and basketball all under one roof, the Blitz is the perfect place to spend the weekend.
