This Saturday night at the Ice House, your Pioneers women's and men's teams will be hitting the court against two tough Knox sides for the White Ribbon sports round. Castec Rural Pioneers international player Jordan Rawls sought out the Limestone Coast Family Violence Action Group as he looked to contribute and give back to our Mount Gambier community. Jordan was inspired to get involved because it related to his field of study in college, a global health studies major with a focus on women's gender and sexuality studies.
In the few months that Jordan has been a part of the LCFVAG, he's contributed to the group's activities, including the planning and securing the Pioneers involvement in this Saturday night's White Ribbon Sports Round. The importance of sporting clubs providing awareness of White Ribbon is even greater due to the increase in family and domestic violence after sporting events. We would like to thank Jordan for creating the connection with the LCFVAG and allowing our club to be involved in this important awareness initiative. We are extremely proud of Jordan and his contributions to our community, basketball and our team.
This Saturday night at the Ice House is going to be a big one! Come along and support your Pioneers and help us create awareness for White Ribbon. Get your tickets here.
