There were NBL1 West wins for the Rockingham Flames (two), Cockburn Cougars, East Perth Eagles, Joondalup Wolves, South West Slammers, Perry Lakes Hawks and Goldfields Giants.

Perry Lakes Hawks honoured 300th game of Jess Jakens while Rockingham Flames bounced back with two NBL1 West wins, Marshaun Bostic and Sierra Moore were huge in South West Slammers and Goldfields Giants victories with Darcee Garbin boosting Cockburn Cougars.

FRIDAY
Cockburn Cougars (100) defeated South West Slammers (46)
The Cockburn Cougars made it 28 straight wins and did it in emphatic style with the 100-46 win at home to the South West Slammers having welcomed in Cierra Walker and Darcee Garbin.
The Cougars went through last season undefeated on the way to the championship and now have won the first four games of 2026 ahead of hosting the one-win Slammers at Wally Hagan Stadium.
Just to add to the challenge for South West was Cockburn adding in a superstar with championship SBL/NBL1 West experience who doubles as being a WNBL, Australian Opal and European veteran.
Playing her first game since becoming a mum, Garbin was a significant inclusion as was new import guard Walker who was required to replace the injured Steph Gorman.
It didn’t take long for Cockburn to take charge with 30 points to 12 in the first quarter before pushing the lead to 27 in the second.
It was another 49 points to 22 in the second half with the Cougars romping to the 54-point win to make 28 in-a-row as they chase down the SBL/NBL1 West women's record.
Jessie Edwards continued her dominant early season form with 19 points, eight rebounds and five blocks on 9/9 shooting with Alex Ciabbatoni adding 12 points, seven assists, six boards and three steals, Jewel Williams 12 points and five assists, and Jaya Scafidi 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Then there were the new pair with Garbin delivering nine points, eight rebounds and three steals, and Walker 12 points with 4/11 three-point shooting.
The Slammers are now 1-5 on the season with Bri Bailey finishing with 12 points and six rebounds, Hana Lacey-Rameka 12 points and seven boards, Marshaun Bostic seven points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Bree Chalk six points and six boards.
Rockingham Flames (112) defeated Kalamunda Eastern Suns (81)
Sara Puckett, Teige Morrell and Stef Berberabe all dominated as the Rockingham Flames hit back from last week's shock loss to beat the Eastern Suns 112-81.
The Flames looked to be in control most of the night last Friday at home to the shorthanded Mandurah Magic before the nail-biting loss with them remaining at home at Mike Barnett Sports Complex to host the Suns.
Rockingham were without Amy Atwell who was on Australian Gangurrus 3x3 duties but the Flames weren’t still short on firepower and both teams combined for 57 points in the opening term.
The Flames were leading 30-27 by the end of one before the home team produced another 35 points to 20 in the second term to go into half-time leading 65-47.
Rockingham continued to be in control through the second half with 47 points to 34 on the way to the 31-point victory to improve to 4-2 on the season.
Teige Morrell delivered 25 points, 12 rebounds and five assists on 10/14 shooting with Sara Puckett contributing 22 points, nine boards, three assists and two steals.
Stef Berberabe also produced 19 points, 10 assists, four rebounds and three steals, Paris Duffield 17 points on 4/6 three-point shooting, Tiana Wilson-Palmer eight points, three rebounds and two assists, and Shani Amos eight points, five assists and three rebounds.
The Eastern Suns are now 2-5 with Emma Strelein top-scoring with 20 points, three assists and two rebounds while Alyssa Bowen contributed 13 points, five boards, three assists and two steals, Gaby Bronson 12 points and six rebounds, Ella Averill 12 points, five rebounds and three assists, and Denae Civich 11 points, five boards and two steals.
East Perth Eagles (100) defeated Warwick Senators (94)
Clutch Nat Burton free throws after yet another offensive rebound saw the Warwick Senators come from 14 points down in the last quarter to force overtime but the East Perth Eagles led by Stacey Barr pulled away again to prevail 100-94.
It was already the second time the two teams have met this season with the Eagles having handed the Senators their lone loss of 2026 at Warwick Stadium back in Round 3.
East Perth have added Sarah Mortensen since Round 3 but lost Jasmin Fejo to a season-ending knee injury, and with former Senators championship coach Jonelle Morley and MVP winner Barr at the Eagles, there was some natural added feeling.
The Eagles did lead most of the night including by as much as 18 early in the third quarter and then again by 14 in the fourth, but the Senators stormed back and a huge late three from Chloe Forster, and then the free throws to Burton saw the game to overtime.
That's when East Perth took over once again with 16 points to 10 in the extra five minutes to score the six-point win and make it a pair of victories against the Senators as they improve to 5-1.
The Eagles remain undefeated at home with Stacey Barr clearly motivated against their former team. She finished with 25 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals with 5/11 shooting from long-range.
Two-time championship winner Sarah Mortensen also put up 22 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals for East Perth with Brooke Malone adding 20 points and three rebounds.
Sydney Wright also had 18 points, seven assists and four rebounds, Jade Williams 10 points, 10 boards and two assists, and Zaya Black five points, three steals and two assists.
Chloe Forster had a tough shooting night for Warwick but still delivering 24 points and 10 assists while going 8/26 from the field and 2/11 from beyond the arc.
Jayda Clark added 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, Nat Burton 13 points, 10 boards, two assists and two steals, Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard 11 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and Kyana Weir 11 points, two boards and two assists in her 100th game.
Joondalup Wolves (89) defeated Lakeside Lightning (59)
Kim Pierre-Louis produced another standout performance for the Joondalup Wolves to lead her team to the 89-59 victory at home to the Lakeside Lightning.
The Wolfpack were back home at Arena Joondalup in the hunt for a second win of the season against a Lightning team trying to avoid back-to-back defeats.
Joondalup started strongly with 24 points to 16 in the opening term and then went up 16 in the second frame and were leading 46-30 by half-time.
The Wolves remained in control throughout the second half too with another 43 points to 29 on the way to the eventual 89-59 victory to improve to 2-4 on the season and get out of bottom place.
Pierre-Louis delivered 27 points, 14 rebounds and three assists in the win for the Wolfpack while Asianae Johnson contributed 22 points, seven boards, three assists and three steals.
Yemiyah Morris had her first double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds with Kuir Gayo adding six points and nine boards.
The Lightning are now 3-4 with the defeat with Regan Turnour-McCarty delivering 16 points and seven rebounds on 4/9 three-point shooting with Kiriana Hawaikirangi adding 10 points on 4/5 shooting.
Esme Morales also had 10 points and five assists with Sam Roscoe contributing eight points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Sam Lubcke seven points and three boards on 3/5 field goal shooting.

SATURDAY
South West Slammers (91) defeated Joondalup Wolves (85)
Marshaun Bostic produced a standout performance for the South West Slammers to score a second win of the season beating the Joondalup Wolves 91-85.
Both teams were coming off playing on Friday night with the Slammers losing to the reigning champion Cockburn Cougars while Joondalup beat the Lakeside Lightning.
They backed up for the clash at Eaton Recreation Centre and on their home floor it was the Slammers off to the flying start with 33 points to 20 in the opening term.
They were still leading 46-40 by half-time but the Slammers lead was just two by three quarter-time before the Wolves managed to tie scores up in the dying minutes.
Joondalup then got back within two with 20 seconds to play but they wouldn’t score again with South West securing the win thanks to four clutch free throws to Bri Bailey to improve to 2-5 as a result.
Bostic was the start of the win for the Slammers with the import point guard delivering 28 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Hana Lacey-Rameka added 19 points, nine rebounds and two steals, Bailey 17 points and six boards, Bree Chalk 12 points, three boards and two assists, Javene Fitch eight points, eight rebounds and two steals, and Ella Edwards seven points.
The Wolfpack are now also 2-5 with Asianae Johnson finishing with 21 points, four rebounds and four assists with Awatea Leach adding 20 points and three boards.
Yemiyah Morris also had 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots, Kim Pierre-Louis 12 points and six boards, and Rui Mim 10 points and two assists.
Warwick Senators (62) lost to Rockingham Flames (73)
The Rockingham Flames made it a double win weekend without Amy Atwell with Sara Puckett starring again as they handed the Warwick Senators a second loss in under 24 hours with the 73-62 victory.
Both teams arrived at Warwick Stadium having played on Friday night with Rockingham beating the Eastern Suns even with Atwell on Australian Gangurrus 3x3 duties while the Senators went down in overtime to the East Perth Eagles.
It was a tight affair for the first half with Rockingham only leading by two points at quarter-time and by one at the half with Jayda Clark already having 20 points for the Senators, but the Flames took control from there.
Rockingham outscored Warwick 35 points to 25 in the second half and while they didn’t light it up offensively themselves, the Flames did hold the Senators to 8/28 shooting in the half and into another nine turnovers.
That saw Rockingham secure the 13-point win to make it a pair of wins inside 24 hours and improve to a 5-2 record with the Senators now 4-3 after two defeats.
Rockingham made it a double win weekend with new import Sara Puckett delivering 24 points, 12 rebounds and two steals to be a +13 in her 35 minutes.
Stef Berberabe was also +13 in 33 minutes and delivered 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals while Teige Morrell contributed 12 points, eight boards, three assists and two steals, and Tiana Wilson-Palmer 10 points and three assists.
Jayda Clark top-scored for Warwick with 27 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals with 4/8 three-point shooting.
Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard added 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Chloe Forster 10 points, six assists and five boards, and Kyana Weir 10 points and four rebounds.
Goldfields Giants (100) defeated Willetton Tigers (64)
The Goldfields Giants returned home and on the back of another huge performance from Sierra Moore came away with the 100-64 win against the Willetton Tigers.
The Giants were back home at Evolution Mining Stadium after splitting their first road trip last weekend with Willetton arriving having won their past three matches after losing the first three of 2026.
Goldfields dominated the opening quarter opening up a 16-point lead before leading 30-17 by the end of one and then with another 27 points to 22, the Giants were leading 57-39 by the end of the second frame.
The Giants remained in control the rest of the way with 43 points to 25 in the second half on the way to the dominant 36-point victory to improve to 3-2 on the season.
Sierra Moore once again starred for Goldfields with 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and two blocked shots on 11/19 shooting from the field.
Delaynie Byrne also contributed 19 points, 16 rebounds and four steals, Rachel Pettit 17 points, five boards and three assists, Hazelle Yam 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals, and Lexi Pana 12 points, 13 assists, six boards and two steals.
The Tigers are now 3-4 with their winning run coming to an end with Emma Calvert finishing with 22 points, three rebounds and two blocks but Ruby Porter had just seven points, six steals and five assists with Emma Gandini not making the trip and Alex Fowler still fighting for a WNBA contract.
Perry Lakes Hawks (79) defeated Perth Redbacks (66)
The Perry Lakes Hawks rose to the occasion in the 300th game of Jess Jakens to snap their losing slide to beat the Perth Redbacks 79-66.
The Hawks were back at Bendat Basketball Centre having lost their past three matches while the Redbacks arrived trying to back up a last up win over the Goldfields Giants.
It was a significant occasion with Jakens reaching 300 games to become the 28th woman to do so in SBL/NBL1 West history and in her first season with Perry Lakes, it was only fitting it was against a Redbacks team she was captain of and played her first 233 matches with.
Jakens was into the starting five too and the Hawks rose for the occasion to lead 23-18 by quarter-time and were clinging to a one-point edge at the half.
Perry Lakes then took control in the third term to open up a 15-point advantage and then held on for the 13-point victory and improve to 2-4 in the process.
Jakens had five points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals for her milestone while Bridgette Rettstatt delivered another 19 points and 13 rebounds for Perry Lakes.
Emilie Beggs added 16 points and two assists, Mia Bailey 10 points and five rebounds, and Mila Wawszkowicz 10 points, three assists and two steals.
The Redbacks are now 2-4 with Sam Ashby again top-scoring with 17 points with nine rebounds and four assists with Olivia Berry adding 16 points, six boards and four assists, and Shenae Hartree 16 points and eight rebounds.
