Warwick clinch their first deal for 2027

Reigning NBL1 West champions, the Warwick Senators, have made their first off-season move for 2027, retaining the services of WNBL talent Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard.

Clinch Hoycard returns to the club she has spent five of her six NBL1 seasons at, including a strong 2026 campaign.

In 24 NBL1 West matches, the 27-year-old averaged 15.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.

For the Senators, Clinch Hoycard’s return is significant given her experience at WNBL level.

The versatile 191cm forward is entering her second season at the Geelong Venom in WNBL27, after five seasons at the Perth Lynx.

Clinch Hoycard shot the ball at 36 per cent from deep in WNBL26, backing up her efforts at NBL1 level where she was hitting on 40 per cent of her 8.2 three-point attempts.

Her next chance to deliver in the WNBL27 Season will be on Saturday, October 24 against the Southside Melbourne Flyers from 3pm AEDT, live on 9Now and ESPN via Disney+.
