The Melbourne Tigers defeated the Kilsyth Cobras 90-76 on Friday night at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, dominating in several key areas to secure a comfortable win.
The Tigers shot an impressive 50.7 percent from the field while limiting the Cobras to just 39.7 percent shooting. Sara Blicavs led Melbourne's attack with 24 points, while Isobel Borlase added 23 points on 50 percent shooting, including 11 points in transition. The Tigers dominated inside, outscoring Kilsyth 40-28 in the paint and outrebounding them 43-38. Their fast break was particularly effective, generating 21 points compared to just two for the Cobras.
Despite the loss, Abby O'Connor delivered a standout performance for Kilsyth with 28 points and nine boards, shooting 45 percent from the field.
