Thrifty Ballarat Miners Rush Junior weekly update written by Glenn White

The Thrifty Ballarat Miners Rush Junior under 12 Girls and Boys headed to the Colac Tournament over the weekend of 27th & 28th February.

This was the first hit out for all teams since being selected for their respective team back in December.

While results were mixed for the under U/12 boys teams not making any Grand Finals. Coach Andrew Renfree was happy with the results and how the games gave him the knowledge of what he needs to work on the boys moving forward.

The Thrifty Ballarat Rush Junior number one team won the Grand Final over tough opposition in Geelong United by 5 points. Lena Wiltsher was named MVP in the final. 

Team Two split there games with 2 wins and 2 losses over the weekend. Coach Megan Collins was happy with both teams progression over the weekend.

Congraultions to our Thrifty Ballarat Rush Junior girls on winning the Grand Final as well to all teams and players who played really well. Overall a great weekend for Ballarat. 

Our 14 16 &18 teams are take the court for the last round of VJBL grading tonight with some teams needing to win to finish as high as they can before the season kicks off on March 26th. Good luck to all teams competing.
