Thank You + Festive Wishes

There has been little normal about the last few years. Whether it be sport, business, or everyday life, the effect that COVID has had on our world still challenges us.
 
As restrictions ease across the country and state and international borders reopen in Australia, it provides us all hope that we are getting closer to a normal 2022 for all.
 
After the 2021 season finished early, our club has jumped straight into planning and recruitment. Securing signatures of our respective coaches and retaining the core women and men have been the number one priority for the 2022 season.
 
It has been great to secure the signings of those returning OneFortyOne and Castec Rural Pioneers who in 13 games in 2021 showed outstanding commitment and improvement both individually and as a team in challenging circumstances.
 
Away from the court, the club has released our 2022 Membership packages that are on sale now, just in time for Christmas. There is no better way to throw your support behind the club heading into the club's 35th season and our eventual move to Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre.
 
I wish to thank the wider Limestone Coast community who have supported our basketball club in 2021. Our community is blessed to have a community asset such as the Pioneers competing in a national competition. This could not be possible without the support of our sponsors, who have contributed hugely over the club's 34-year existence.
 
Matt Sutton and Richard Hill have been planning pre-season as the club awaits the official release of the 2022 fixture. Our teams will have a well-deserved Christmas break with their families before commencing pre-season camps in early January.
 
Our club is hugely excited for the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead in 2022 and beyond.
