After playing for Thunder in his junior development years, Kye has gone on to represent Australia in multiple age groups along with being part of the prestigious Australian Boomers program.
Being identified as one of the most exciting young players in the country, Savage has now inked a multi-year deal with NBL powerhouse the Brisbane Bullets to ensure he's playing and learning at the highest level.
North West Thunder Chairman James Leslie said "With Thunder proving its status as a true development program, it's wonderful to see players like Kye finding their way into the elite areas of our sport nationally”.
“We are thrilled that he's chosen to return home and represent the North West again, and can't wait to see him light up the floor with his athleticism and speed".
“He’s a great local success story and has a genuine passion to help juniors so we are looking forward to him being back here and contributing to basketball in general”. Leslie said.
