Jack Tweedy knocked down eight three-pointers and the Rockhampton Rockets beat the North Gold Coast Seahawks by 26 points.

Jack Tweedy had an afternoon to remember with 37 points and shooting 8/12 from behind the arc as the Rockhampton Rockets hit back from a tough Saturday night for the 104-78 NBL1 North win over the North Gold Coast Seahawks.
Both teams played on Saturday night with the Seahawks breaking through for their first win of the season beating the South West Metro Pirates while the Rockets lost big to the on-fire Gold Coast Rollers.
After North Gold Coast were leading by five at quarter-time, Tweedy and Rockhampton took over with him scoring 20 points in the second quarter and his team put up 32 to be on the way to the win.
Tweedy then put up another 11 in the last term and Rockhampton scored 36 more on the way to the 26-point victory to wrap up their road double weekend with a 2-4 record.

It was an afternoon to savour for Jack Tweedy and it started with the 20 points in the second quarter and finished with 11 in the fourth on the way to 37 in the game with six assists on 8/12 three-point shooting.
Jalen Graham produced another 17 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three blocks for Rockhampton, Junior Madut 15 points and four assists, Brayden Huff 11 points on 3/3 shooting with 5/7 at the foul line, Treauhn Williams nine points and 15 rebounds, and Isaac Ayoubi eight points and five assists.
The Seahawks now end their double-header weekend with a 1-5 record in their return NBL1 North season with Sean Murphy producing 23 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two steals on 11/18 field goal shooting.
Jasraj Gill added 16 points, three assists, three blocks, two rebounds and two steals, Isaiah Oste-Pinder 10 points and five boards, Zahn Agosta nine points and three rebounds, and Cole Ross eight points, six boards and two assists.
The Seahawks were back home and trying to back up their first win of the season the previous night while Rockhampton were rocked by an onslaught by Gold Coast, and it was North Gold Coast who had the better of the opening.
The Seahawks opened up a 10-point lead in the first quarter and were still on top 24-19 by quarter-time on the back of 50 per cent shooting to 47, but the seven turnovers from the Rockets was the early difference.
Rockhampton then took control in the second quarter and they piled on 32 points with 20 of those scored by Jack Tweedy who had 26 to his name by half-time with 5/8 three-point shooting.
The Rockets went into the break leading 51-36 as a result with the 6/10 three-point shooting and just two more turnovers in the second term to take control of the contest.
Rockhampton were then still leading by 17 points at three quarter-time even with Tweedy going scoreless but he then lit it up spectacularly again in the last term.
Tweedy had another 11 points with three more triples in the last quarter with the Rockets piling on 36 points to 27 to end up winning by 26 and put the night before against the Gold Coast in the rear vision mirror.
The Seahawks now take on Logan Thunder on the road on Friday night while Rockhampton play host to the Northside Wizards on Saturday.
