NEW ZEALAND’S MADDY TIMMS JOINS PIONEERS FOR NBL1 SOUTH 2025

The Mt. Gambier Pioneers Basketball Club is excited to announce the signing of Maddy Timms for the 2025 NBL1 South season.

Twenty-three-year-old guard Maddy Timms will be a dynamic addition to the Pioneers squad.

Originally from New Zealand, Timms has played for the Mainland Pouakai and has shown her versatility and strong work ethic on the court.

Later last year Maddy played alongside Haliegh Reinoehl with the Mainland Pouakai in New Zealand’s new women’s competition the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa.

Maddy has taken the oppurtunity of furthering her development in Australia this winter joing the Pioneers and the NBL1 South conference.

Maddy’s addition to the program will add depth and bring physicality to the roster. Head Coach Matt Sutton is thrilled to welcome Timms to the team for 2025.

“Maddy is joining the program from New Zealand; she's extremely hard-working and plays with physicality,” Sutton said.

“We look forward to her joining the group; she'll bring great energy and will be a great addition.” he added.
