At the end of Round 6, the NBL has had unrivalled action, stories and NBL1 stars showing off with their new teams.
Check out how some of the NBL1 players in NBL23 went in Round 6 below:
David Okwera
After re-signing with Sandringham, David Okwera has had a bounce in confidence for NBL23 with Melbourne United. Across round six he averaged 10 points and three rebounds across round six while being instrumental to their win against the Phoenix in the Throwdown.
“He’s been great,” Chris Goulding said post-game.
“The potential has been there, and the year he had under Barlow in the NBL1 gave him confidence to play in that system and translate that into our team.

Ben Ayre
The Cairns Marlins star had his breakout game for the third on-the-ladder Taipans in round six against United. In the 25-point domination at home, Ben Ayre lit up Melbourne’s defence with 16 points off the bench.

Ayre hasn’t had many major performances this season but with the Taipans' success, he has been able to seamlessly fit a role and support the second unit. But as shown with the Marlins, Ayre can go off at any moment and could be an x-factor in the Taipans making a finals run.
Harry Froling
Signing with the NBL1 North Ipswitch Force this week, Harry Froling had a splash with his Brisbane Bullets against the JackJumpers, throwing this full-court dime to Tyrell Harrison!
