Check out how some of the NBL1 stars went below:
Shaneice Swain brings NBL1 North success to the Capitals
After leading Mackay to the first round of the NBL1 North finals, Shaneice Swain has delivered two 20-point performances in Round 8.
Against the Southside Flyers Swain had 22 points and four steals and against the Sydney Flames she had 21 points and five rebounds. The young star averaged 17 points for the Mereorettes and her reps in NBL1 have most definitely paid off for her WNBL season so far.
In an interview with The Canberra Times at the start of the season, head coach Kristen Veal said it should be a breakout year for Swain.
"This could be a breakout year for her. If it's not, it'll be a huge growth year, which is going to lead to a breakout year," she said.
"She's still only 19, and the youngest player on our team. But her receptiveness to information, her involvement in learning the game, has been better this year than I've ever seen."
Also we need to make noise about Shanice Swain, the brightest of lights in @UCCapitals 0-11 season to date.#WNBL23
WNBL MVP continues her rebounding dominance
Eltham Wildcats star Anneli Maley took the Player of the Round with a familiar stat line to her NBL1 South campaign, with 19 points and 24 rebounds against the Adelaide Lightning as they finish the round with an 8-1 record.
The Bendigo Spirit are flying high in the WNBL with their roster of NBL1 talent, providing the spark of the bench every championship team needs.

Zitina Aokuso signs with Mount Gambier
The Townsville Fire star, who is currently rehabbing a broken foot, has put pen to paper with the Mount Gambier Pioneers for next season.
The former Sixth Women of the Year and WNBL Champion will be a key piece in Townsville’s run for the WNBL playoffs, alongside NBL1 North MVP Steph Reid.
With the Ballarat Miners last season, Aokuso averaged 17 points and nine rebounds and now joins NBL1 stars like Cassandra Brown and Sherrie Calleia.
