Round 10 of the WNBL saw the Capitals get their first win and some NBL1 stars putting up some giant box score performances.
Check out how some of them went below:
Mikaela Ruef dominates:
The Logan Thunder superstar put up an NBL1 North-like performance with 26 points, 12 rebounds and four assists against the Sydney Flames and former teammate Indiah Bowyer.

Ruef has been a fantastic edition for Townsville this WNBL season, averaging 10 points, nine rebounds and 1.5 assists for the fourth-placed Fire. Alongside NBL1 North Finals MVP Steph Reid, the duo has a chance to carry the Flames through the WNBL finals this season.
Capitals secure first win:
Ballarat Miners’ superstar Jade Melbourne willed her team past the Bendigo Spirit in a major upset with a box-score-stuffing game of 18 points, 11 assists and six rebounds.
The Seattle Storm draft pick has been the leader of the Capitals as a 20-year-old, taking her NBL1 peers with the likes of Mackay’s Shaneice Swain and Newcastle Falcons star Nicole Munger to the next level this WNBL season. The Capitals will be a disruptor for any team trying to climb the ladder for the remainder of the season.
Shaneice Swain has risen to a new level:
In Shaneice Swain’s past five games for the UC Capitals, she has averaged 17.6 points, 3.2 rebounds. 1.2 assists and 1.8 steals. After having a similar average in the NBL1 North with the Mackay Meteorettes, Swain has been able to bring her development into this WNBL season.
