Robbi Ryan continues to be a star out West
Joondalup Wolves star Robbi Ryan has been a sensation for the Perth Lynx this season. In two wins over the Spirit and Boomers, Ryan was dominant with an average of 17 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists.
After a 2-0 Round 12, the Lynx are only two games behind the Spirit for fourth place. As their NBL1 stars like Frankston’s Chloe Bibby and Cockburn’s Jessie Edwards have been key pieces alongside Ryan for Perth this season.
McKay stays in Bendigo
After an NBL1 season littered with double-doubles, Bendigo Braves star Megan McKay has re-signed for the 2023 NBL1 season.
Taking the Braves to the NBL1 South Grand Final, McKay averaged 20.1 points, (shooting 64 percent from the field) and 11.7 rebounds for the star-studded squad.
Against the Lynx, she had 10 points and three rebounds and has been one of the key pieces in the Spirit’s finals run this season.
Rebecca Pizzey provides critical play in a close loss
After a near double-double average with the Eltham Wildcats, the WNBL champion Rebecca Pizzey had a major performance against the Townsville Fire in the UC Capitals' one-point loss.
Moments away from their second win of the season, Pizzey added a critical 12 points and five rebounds alongside Ballarat Miuners superstar Jade Melbourne’s 19 points and six assists.
