NBL1 stars in the NBL and WNBL commenced their seasons over the weekend, with two players making history and another two dominating in their club debuts.

NBL1 stars in the NBL and WNBL commenced their seasons over the weekend, with two players making history and another two dominating in their club debuts.
In the WNBL, Ipswich's Abby Bishop dominated in her first Southside appearance with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
She was complemented by Geelong Supercats superstar and Olympian Sara Blicavs, who produced 27 points to go with 11 boards.
Although Bendigo went down by 11 points to the reigning champions, Eltham's Anneli Maley was a shining light with a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds.
On Sunday, the new-look Sydney Uni Flames and UC Capitals played out a thriller, with Launceston gun Kelsey Griffin proving the difference with a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double in her side's three-point win.
The match also saw Griffin's Torns teammate Keely Froling (13 points, eight rebounds) go head-to-head against twin sister Alicia (eight points, four rebounds), who played for Ballarat in NBL1 South this season.
In the NBL, Sandringham's Sam McDaniel made history for Tasmania by scoring their first points as Jackjumpers.
He finished with nine points and seven rebounds in his side's overtime win against the Brisbane Bullets.
History was also made by an NBL1 player in the second game of Friday's double-header, with USC's Kyle Zunic becoming the first development player to start in his first game.
The Perth Wildcat backed it up in his team's clash with Cairns on Sunday, producing 13 points as a starter.
He was complemented by Dandenong's Ollie Hayes-Brown, who produced six points and eight boards in his NBL debut.
Zac Triplett also made a splash in his NBL debut, scoring five points for Melbourne in their five-point loss to Sydney.
In other games, Red City's Will McDowell-White grabbed five boards in the New Zealand Breakers' loss to South East Melbourne while Northside's Mitch McCarron had a great all-round performnce in Adelaide's 10-point loss to Illawarra with 12 points, five rebounds and four dimes.
