The Men’s Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence has beaten the Sturt Sabres 77-73, the Sabres are sixth in the Central standings and are no easy team to beat as the CoE pulls off another impressive win on the road.
The CoE have done well without their star Tyrese Proctor, who has missed multiple games while playing with the Boomers. In his absence, Evan Kilminster has been a star, he scored 24 points in this game and teammate Rory Hawke added his won 14 points as one of the other stars for this young squad.
Outside Hayden Meakes’ 18 points off the bench, Sturt struggled to get the ball in the hoop. Impressively Meakes was the only player in double-digits with Sturt only losing by five points. 11 of Sturt's 12 active players scored, which kept them in the game but it wasn’t enough of a punch to knock off the CoE.
