A young Centre of Excellence squad was too much for Mackay. Mackay shot 15% from 3pt range and turned the ball over 24 times to COE’s 12.

Dallas Loughridge led the pack with 19 points and 0 turnovers.

MEN

Mackay Meteors (86) def by BA Centre of Excellence (91)

It was a thriller in Mackay. The meteors couldn’t put up a fight long enough against the best young Australian talent.

The COE went 6-6 from the free throw line in the last 30 seconds to seal the deal.

Rory Hawke scored 26 points. Duke Basketball commit Tyrese proctor followed that up with 13.
