Friday: (Men’s NBL1 West) Perth Redbacks vs Joondalup Wolves
Two Finals contenders will go head-to-head on Friday night as the fourth-placed Perth Redbacks will take on the sixth-placed Joondalup Wolves.
The Redbacks have been in hot form, winning seven of their past eight games, and the squad has just gotten better with the addition of NBL forward David Okwera.
He was a star in the NBL1 South last season with Sandringham, averaging 12 points and 9.8 rebounds for the Finals team.
They’ll take on the Joondalup Wolves and MVP contender Quintin Dove. The American forward is averaging 27.1 points per game for the 9-7 Wolves, and they will be one of the feared teams coming into the NBL1 West Finals.
The game should be a high-powered offensive showcase. Watch it live on Friday from 8:30pm AWST via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App here.
Saturday: (Men’s NBL1 South) Eltham Wildcats vs Knox Raiders
With the Finals race heating up, the middle of the ladder is the battleground for the rest of the season for teams to claim home-court advantage.
There is only a three-win difference between the first–seeded Frankston Blues and the eighth-seeded Diamond Valley Eagles.
But on Saturday night, the second-placed Knox Raiders will face off against the fourth-seeded Eltham Wildcats in must-watch action of NBL stars.
Eltham’s Angus Glover and Owen Foxwell will take on Knox’s Deng Acouth, Mason Peatling, and their import Wayne Stewart Jr – who is averaging 19 points per game.
Sunday: (Women’s NBL1 North) North Gold Coast Seahawks vs Southern District Spartans
The Coles Express NBL1 National Finalists, the Southern District Spartans, have retooled and have been a dangerous team in the NBL1 North this season.
The fifth on the ladder Spartans have won three games straight against some of the best teams in the NBL1 North. They’ve been led by WNBL player Maddy Allen, averaging 23 points per game this season.
They'll take on the eighth-placed Seahawks, who are coming off Alexa Held’s electric 48 points in Round 11.
4??8?? points on a Sunday ?
Alexa Held went OFF, dropping 8?? triples in an OT win against the Darwin Salties ?
